Of late, I've been getting almost exclusively Regent University ads on the EF banner headers. Since Regent is the love child of Pat Robertson and his delusions of adequacy, I'm not quite sure why it is that it is so persistant on my forum reading here. It's not like Regent is flooding the pages over at FB (just everything else under the sun), so I'm not sure why it is that EF has garnered this 'honor'.

I have adblock, so don't see them, but I believe the ads are more user-specific than site-specific.

I also block them. If they were not so horrifically intrusive I don't think I'd bother, but they just get in the way!

It might be entertaining if you went to heckle.

It might be entertaining if you went to heckle. I suppose...but what if I picked up some bad habits, like promoting the assassination of a leader of a foreign nation? Or blaming hurricanes and tornadoes on gay people?

You'll get ads for rocket launchers and invites to join UKIP!

If you mention religion in posts or anywhere online you are likely to get religiously themed ads. They don't inspect your words close enough top get your stance on the issues...

Ahhh ... so is that why I got a message at the top today to say that (sadly) the gizmo that supplies the ads was broken? I could barely contain my grief as you will appreciate ...

LOL!
My latest here is "Convert 50% More Leads With Clearslide"....is 'Clearslide' some kind of intimate lubricant?
I do note, though, that the Regent ads disappeared after I purchased a new pair of Ugg scuff slippers on eBay. I'm fairly sure it was connected.

Ugg seems a perfectly reasonable reaction to Regent Uni.

Now, it's Disney World. Just about as bad as Regent Uni.

Now, it's Disney World. Just about as bad as Regent Uni. How do you tell them apart? I bought a new clerical shirt online recently - for a job interview - and ever since have been haunted by variations of this pop-up add. I am not sure which of the two individuals I find more disconcerting ....

I'm disturbed that (a) you need to buy a clerical shirt for a job interview (chuckles) and (b) you get both a male and a female clerical shirt for £45.
Which one do you wear for which occasion?

I'd be more disturbed if others had to buy a clerical shirt for an interview!

I assume it is two shirts of any convenient variety ... I had to wear a clerical shirt because it was a clerical job interview ...

I only get advertisement for an online bookshop (Bokus). But I get this "Big Brother sees you-feeling", one of the books they advertise is a book I'e already bought. The know what I am interested in! Maybe Google has told them, they know too much about me.
