Shiny morning here and I am at my desk reading gently. Time for another cuppa soon. Off to the university later.

979 260 It's my day off! But I'm doing a presentation in the university class of a friend of mine and also singing a concert in the evening. So not much down time.

I've been helping Pat clear out the garage. We have so much junk. Another 199 days should see us through, I think.

I had a pain in my back earlier today, probably from sitting on a chair awkwardly but it has mostly gone now.

959 252 I am going downstairs to check the bread that has been baked in the bread machine. I love my bread machine

I keep meaning to try and make some. I have all the stuff but just not got round to it yet. I was given a second-hand bread machine some time back, but it seems to mix the dough but not get hot, which seems to me to be an important part of the process.

It has turned into a dough machine instead.

I buy a special bread that has a low glycaemic index to help control my blood sugar level. It also tastes rather nice and because of that it's a cheap form of protein.

I've made bread without a bread machine. Works just fine, it was pumpkin bread and disappeared very quickly.

959 244 My experience of bread machines is that they usually make very tiny loaves, too.

There are interesting maps?
I have a preparation day today, I have to deliver training for the latest batch of baby chaplains tomorrow and need to make sure I understand the power point I am going to be using! I will take a short break this afternoon to officiate at a funeral but will need to be focused on prep for the rest of the time I have.

The old Ordnance Survey maps of the Peak District were fascinating. Learning about them in Geography was one of the most enjoyable and memorable occasions at school.

Maps are very interesting! Some of the older maps of interesting places are more fun to sit and read than some books.
