You didn't pick from mine..
Am just looking at the Valentine's menu for some fancy Michelin starred place. There's not a single thing on it that I'd actually want to eat

The Pizza Hut suggestion was not a serious one. You have to pick from the one I just posted.

Okay...Since it is Sunday morning (here), I'll post up the brunch menu for my little local unpretentious neighborhood cafe, only a short stroll away: www.sckavones.com/food_weekend_brunch.htmor Perhaps a stroll over to Hawthorne for some shopping, but starting here: wafflewindow.com/food/I haven't been for more'n a year...that "The Whole Farm" waffle looks tasty to me. Now, I'll go back and check out the already posted menus....

At the Pheasant Inn, I'd be ordering the Lakeland Beef & Cumberland Ale pie. Sounds tasty.
Sorry, JoeP, but I don't take my custom to the likes of Pizza Butt unless there is no adequate alternative.
At the Rosso, I'd start with the Goat Cheese & Pesto Bruschetta, then the Rosso Prawn Cocktail and then the Spaghetti Bolognese. (A much better selection than the Pizza Butt, but still....I don't trust the UKers making pizza. I had pizza in Aberdeen; it was atrocious. Worse than Domino's.)

WG is that breakfast menu normal for the US? We'd not eat a lot of that stuff at breakfast here (chicken or steak for instance) I'll have the meatloaf as a main with a bloody Mary

WG is that breakfast menu normal for the US? We'd not eat a lot of that stuff at breakfast here (chicken or steak for instance) I'll have the meatloaf as a main with a bloody Mary It is a 'brunch menu'....meaning that it includes items for both the breakfast and lunch meals. It is a popular form of social life for weekend days, when a leisurely attitude toward the meal is heightened by meeting up with friends and family, reading the paper, arriving fashionably late, and nursing a huge mug of coffee. Service generally starts at seven or eight and runs until around two in the afternoon, with the peak from ten am until noon. As you might expect, lots of the earlier folks go with breakfast offerings, while those arriving nearer noon might be more interested in the Fish & Chips with one of their signature Marguaritas (served in a pint glass). Sckavone's is my go-to fish & chips provisioner. Not all American restaurants offer the 'brunch' approach, but it is very common.

From Moose's I'd go with the fish pie - though the ale pie sounded pretty good too but wasn't sure about serving it up with "fresh vegies", what does that mean? Do they mean salad? From WG's I'd try the chicken fried steak - it sounds very American plus it's serviced with scones so I'd get to see what American scones are. From JoePs I'd try the pizza margheritta. I don't know how good a pizza place it is so it's best to start with something simple and test them out like that. Now the pizza at my local down the street I can vouch for as pretty near authentic. It even gets the Naples designation stamp thingy that it's legit. www.lasvolta.com.au/hampton/menuMy faves are the pizza bufala and the pizza signore george, both of which I would highly recommend.

Fresh veggies to me means cooked vegetables. Here in the UK it's apparently not a guarantee that your veg might be fresh D

I'd try the Signor George pizza at La Svolta.
Hoo...I'm so pedestrian, that at the Lawrence, I'd go with the soupe aux betteraves and the sandwich au fromage avec ou sans bacon....even though I'm not sure why it is 'ou sans'.

For vegetarians maybe. Well....maybe. A cheese sandwich 'avec' -with- 'ou' -I have no idea what this means as used- 'sans' -without-. That little 'ou' evidently distinguishes between 'with' and 'without'. Does 'ou sans bacon' mean something like 'textured vegetable protein', i.e., 'fake bacon'?
