Can't really find anything on the smokehouse menu that appeals, largely cos I don't like BBQ flavour. I might try the brisket platter but only if it came without any sort of horrendous sauce..

For Kye's I'd go for a dictionary Is it poss to get it in English? It has English under the French, in Italic typeface, with the prices. In the case of my sammich, the French has the 'with or without' and the English version has the price 'with bacon'...which is obviously not the same as the ordinary cheese sammich. Sometimes I can be so dense.

I'd go for the pulled pork sandwich in your menu, Goat. I'm partial to pulled pork.

I've never got into the whole pulled anything thing ... I dunno why but since last time I complained about it I have tried it and did not like it.

Aha I found the English bits in Kye's I'll have the aged pork, apples and black pudding. I don't care too much for black pudding but pork and apple is a can't be beaten combo

I'd go for the pulled pork sandwich in your menu, Goat. I'm partial to pulled pork. Good choice. I probably should try some other menu items, but every since I took in their ribs, I've been trapped. Curiously, although their specialty food is top-rate, they get kudos locally for their no mayo coleslaw, a typical 'throw-away' side dish.

No mayo coleslaw is surely just cabbage and carrot ...

There are 2 kinds of coleslaw here --creamy (with mayo) and not creamy (a vinaigrette type dressing). I prefer the not-creamy, but I'll eat either.

Likewise, Kye.
My wife detested mayo and was ever so pleased to find that Clay's specialized in the vinigarette type, which is relatively rare in the US. It is actually better than most mayo coleslaws I've consumed.

I like mayo a good deal but if I am gonna have it i'd rather have it on something more exciting than cabbage and carrot

At Lawrence, I'll have the black pudding, apple tart and fried egg starter, and the tuna main course.

Includes tip?
The Hungry Like A Wolf selection looks quite tasty, if a mite protein-heavy.

The honey cured pork loin sandwich from Clays smokehouse sounds quite tasty.
From Lawrence I might go for the brunch dougnuts.
And from Lappish I'd like the Hungry like a wolf meal.

Really?

Uh...I thought I'd selected, but now I have to go back and look again...
O, yeah....Chicken MoMo with the Yellow Dal.
And...'Nepalese prawns' has the same kind of ring as 'Rocky Mountain Oysters', and we don't want to go there. Well, I don't.

Okay...Carnivores, this is much more upscale than Clay's. This place in in the middle of a large golf course, the interior is cozy booths of overupholstered dark leather lit by candlelight, and its cuisine has been considered amongst the best in grilled steak offerings in the region, but they are best known for their scrumptious deep-fried beer battered Walla Walla Sweet onion rings. If you eat nothing else at the Ringside, have an order of their onion rings, at absolute minimum.

Heh...To be honest, I rarely, if ever, even look at a dessert menu, or dessert tray.
I'd just have another order of onion rings.

If you want desserts, I'd be tempted to take you to Papa Haydn's. They have meal menus, but most folks here don't care.
