I am currently watching Andromeda. I like the individual stories and characters, but the overall story they try to create is just too weird and inconsistent to be considered even near the area of good.
Are there any good sci fi series I don't know about or youn want to talk about?

I just watched episode one of Battlestar Galactica, but I could make head nor tail of it. Currently watching Eureka which seems interesting.

I thought episode one was really weird. You start in an unexplained fight between humans and cilon. -whatever they are- they don't sleep for 180 hours and are very cranky and vthen there is this weird doctor who is talking to a blonde woman no one else can see but who is probably a cilon agent and helped him betray humanity.... or something like that. I also watchwd the first terra nova episode which was interesting.

I love the way BG throws you into the middle of things and lets you take the rest of the series to find out what's going on. Terra Nova was pretty good, but I found the acting a bit wooden.

...Currently watching Eureka which seems interesting. I think that's called A Town Called Eureka over here. If it is that then I find it quite good as they manage to make the stories quite varied. Unfortunately it is one of the things I constantly have missed due to being unable to remember when things are on the TV.

That's why I watch online. They never broadcast it here.

I liked Eureka, but it got odd later on, I preferred the original concept of it.
Terra Nova ended just when it got interesting.
Battlestar Galactica was great (once you figured out what was going on), but then I watched the whole thing on DVD, I can't imagine waiting a week for each episode and stretching out over several years.
And no thread, on any topic, is complete without mentioning Firefly.

I watched episode 1, but couldn't get into it. Of Firefly? Which episode, the two-part one filmed as the pilot or the one they actually aired first?

the one that starts with a battle and unknown people attacking the apparent main cast aka good guys. I didn't finish the episode.

That is the pilot. A shame. I was in love five minutes in, at the dinosaurs.

I used to enjoy Primeval. Not seen the more recent episodes, but they started the long story arcs and so on and I was not enjoying it as much the last time I saw it, although it was still okay.

I remember watching the original BG series when I was younger. Never saw any of the new series.

I liked andromeda. But I was really disappointed about Terra Nova. I wished that they would at least wrap it up and shift to the future to End it. Or something.
Does anyone watch Defiance?
