True, but I thought the whole purpose of Handmaids was to have as many children for as many people as possible. So really, if the daughters just stay as commanders wives, the role of handmaid will die out by the next generation. That is true unless they are exported as commodities. But I think that's a minor issue beyond the purpose of the book.

So I've just watched the last episode of Season 2.
I was fairly sceptical about the second season - I'm a big fan of the book so I was worried they'd go 'off-road' too far. In some respects they did, but on the whole it was still great, if uncomfortable, viewing. However, there are several plot holes I found really puzzling / annoying, so I'd love to discuss these with someone if anyone else has seen it?
