It will. Once I have some time to myself to rest and deal with all the emotional stuff of the past couple of weeks. It's just been one gigantic moving train though. It was either moving along with it, or get thrown off. I guess I lost my grip a bit earlier than expected. I'll be fine. Have you been travelling at 81mph in a 30mph section of life?

Nah, thanks. I talked to Peter and my mum, but basically I just need some time to process things and to recharge my batteries.

Oops, I missed the new page. Of course I did. *rolls eyes*
Joe, that's a nice analogy, though why did you choose 81 mph? It's a rather specific number...?

Mari, I sympathize. It's been similar for me, too much work, leaving early and coming home late every day and so many things at once. I'm hoping you can rest now and relax and get your energy back.
We won't really do anytjing for Christmas day, appatently. Frank's father is sick and came home from hospital a week ago. He still needs a lot of help and should be more active than he is and Frank's mother has enough to do as it is. There won't even be a Christmas tree since taking decorations down is too much for her. We could have done that, but she would still have had to get them from wherever they're kept. On Boxing day I think Frank's sister and he partner and a friend of the family will be here and there will be a Christmas dinner. But maybe Frank will cook something nice for Christmas day and we can watch Dr. Who.

It's (if I remember correctly) the speed that train was doing that came off the tracks onto a highway near Seattle.

Meanwhile, I'm not sure what I'm doing for Christmas. Supposed to be going to see my sister in Wales, but I have been coughing and feel rotten for a couple of days and I don't much feel like driving.

Hope you feel better and get that rest and recharge soon Mari.
I know I was sure happy to be finishing work on Friday. It has been a draining 3 months or so. 10 days to do nothing much is just glorious. I'm especially excited this year because it's the first time since being a sudent at uni that I'm having a summer holiday. I've always worked over christmas before, or been in NL where there is no summer and where I also worked mind you. I'm planning a beach day Wednesay as it will be 35 degrees and eating at the parents on xmas day and a lazy garden party on boxing day at a friends, also near the beach so there might be beaching on Tuesday too. Today I did virtually nothing except paint my toenails a nice shiny red and read stuff on the internet and read my book. It's all very relaxing to know that I don't have to rush and do stuff because I have 10 days!

I don't really understand how painting toenails can be so therapeutic but I recognise the healing process that occurs. Weird.

I'm not sure it was therapuetic, just didn't involve doing much and they look pretty and red to match the christmas things. Making things pretty I suppose has some therapy.

Claudia and Frank have arrived in Stockport, just for the day. And it's beautifully sunny for a change.

We had lunch, a walk in the park and spent most of the time talking. They have gone back to Birmingham now.

Mini moot! Exciting. I just posted up about mooting while we're in NL or Bratislava or a nearby city.

I am now in Finland comparing coughs with Miisa. Mine is deeper and more productive and she has cough envy.

We had a great time yesterday. Just last bit of the way back was miserable since we had to shuffle and slide up the icy hill to get back to Frank's parents' home.
