Baltics was one of my considerations for our Euro trip but due to timing and only a week or so to spare for actual holidaying went for Malta.

Helsinki moot arranged. Great!! I'll have to arrange a hotel or Air B&B for my last night in Helsinki --any suggestions?

I thought your tour was all-inclusive!
I know a great place but (a) it's quite a long way from Helsinki and the airport and (b) I've already booked it for myself.

The tour does include accommodations, but I'm leaving one day after the tour ends, so I'll need something for the last day.

Yes, I'd offer up my place, but as Joe said, it is a bit far away for any convenience. Unfortunately, I haven't stayed in Helsinki at a hotel or the like to give any advice...
Might it be worth asking the place you are staying the previous night if they can keep you there another night? Are you on Air B&B? I have never tried it.

I looked at the hotel I'll be staying at and they do have a room available. I might go that route, but there's also an air b&b not far away that's cheaper. I'm still thinking about it.

How did you like it? What did you do while there? I haven't been yet, that will be in the upcoming Euro trip in May. But I will let you know. I've heard a lot of good things..but I do worry slightly that it will be too crowded as it is a very densly populated country.

The Netherlands, especially the Randstad, is densely populated! I believe you survived that ...

Yes, which is what I remind myself. Though it's one thing to live in a dense city and another thing to go to a relaxing, holiday island that is just as densly populated!

A certain swimming pool in China during the holidays... Apparently it looks like this every weekend and holiday.

I guess the purpose of the rings is to give everyone their own personal space.

Personal space is a different concept in a lot of Asian countries compared to here. I see it on a daily basis with the students i advise. Some tiny little Asian girl will be sidled up right next to me, while the Aussies will push their chairs back to get further away.

Indeed, they're used to being crowded. The rings in the pool are because most of the Chinese people can't swim though. It was in a documentary on the human leisure activities.

That's it!
I can't stand it any more!
I'm running away to Europe. So there!
Bound for Bucharest, via Amsterdam's Schipol.
A few days there, and then we catch the riverboat at Constanta for our voyage up the lower Danube to Belgrade and, finally, Budapest.
For me, it's pretty much going in to the unknown.

Have fun! Hope the temperature in your accommodations is comfortable! Temps in the accommodations are fine. The A/C works just fine. The outside temps are a bit more than I used to. I expected lower average temps and consequently am not ideally prepared. Average daytime highs are 25 degrees.

I assume the travels are happening as we speak? Everybody, I note, seems to go via Schiphol. What's up with that?

I went thru Schipol because I flew Delta, which is teamed with Air France and KLM. On the second leg, to Bucharest, the carrier was KLM.
I suppose we could have gone thru De Gaulle, but I've done both before and much prefer Schipol. It's far more sane.
