So here's the question....Do you like biscuits and gravy?

Yes! It's a very southern thing to have. I like biscuit gravy the most but won't turn down sausage gravy if that's all.

I'm by no means a Southerner, but I loves me some biscuits and sausage gravy. Mmmmmm-mm.
Yankees love it, too.

There is a full Ulster but I can't remember what the details are. The full Welsh sounds totally vile though - lava bread!

On my pilgrimage, I learned that there was a certain amount of 'give' with the 'full English'.
First, there were no kippers at all this time. As usual, the bacon was undercooked. But I found that if I asked, I could double my sausage banger and delete the bacon.
I didn't see the singed tomato this time around much, either.
Sometimes I got hash browns and sometimes I got black pudding. They were not regulars.
The beans, mushrooms, toast, cereal with milk, tea, and that lot were always in evidence.

Full English. Never heard of this until now. Very peculiar. You need to visit the UK, KE.

You could bring a towel? Or are you afraid of water? 'Cause in that case I can see why going to the UK is problematic.

Why do they call it lavabread? Because it deserves to burn?

Why do they call it lavabread? Because it deserves to burn? I think it is a corruption of 'laver', the unique element added to the bread. I assume it is a Cymric word which is incomprehensible to English language speakers. And, we're probably pronouncing it wrong.

"la·ver ˈlāvər noun an edible seaweed with thin sheetlike fronds of a reddish-purple and green color that becomes black when dry. Laver typically grows on exposed shores, but in Japan it is cultivated in estuaries."

Interesting. And yes. I have a fear of drowning. Crossing the ocean by plane just isn't gonna happen at this point.

Interesting. The chances of you drowning on an airline flight are considerably smaller than your drowning in your bathtub.

It has been suggested that a tunnel across the Bering Strait would enable a railway line to be built all the way from San Francisco to Europe, in which case you could come by rail.
