Next up...Redo the bedroom next door. This was once the second bedroom on the main floor, the largest bedroom being the room which is now the library. So, the master bedroom is now the library and the attic has been the master bedroom suite. I will refurbish the second bedroom in to the master's bedroom. Ha! As if.... So...The process is: Fix the entry to the walk-in shower upstairs, which requires wirebrushing, spackling, sanding and painting. When I spackle there, I can spackle tiny holes in the bedroom walls and prep them for primer and then the new color (a lightish green). Once the paint is on, then the bedframe stored in the basement will go upstairs in to the smaller space where the desk and modeling workbench are now, and the desk and workbench will move to where the bed is now. The present upstairs bedframe will move to the main floor master's bedroom and await a new mattress....not yet obtained (Moose, we need to talk)...and the present mattress will go on the frame brought out of storage and thus remain upstairs. This will make the attic suite one where the larger area, which is visible from the top of the stairwell, will be the working/congregating area of the suite, and the bed and sleeping area will be tucked away where it is not immediately visible upon coming up the stairs. Then, in order to make the attic in to a valid 'rental space', I'd have to have a locksmith install keyed locks on at least three doors. Then, I'd move a small refrigerator, hot plate, boiler, and microwave in to the attic space. But, until that is done, I'd still have a primo guest room for my visitors.

Very sweet, but still very saddening.
I rather wish she's made me an audio tape, so I could hear her voice...

Do you have any old answering machines or anything?

I found the answering machine tape from her work in a hand-held mini-tape recorder. Nothing. I gifted the recorder and tape back to the OHSU Library.
She was a transcriptionist for a pod of neonatalogists, she worked with tapes on a daily basis....But, she never spoke in to them.
