I have flu (or some equally dreaded disease) and am continually queasy... so, I'll pass, thanks. In fact the thought of it is making me feel sick.

Thanks, I appreciate the gesture but I think I'll pass. I tried hot lemon and honey earlier today and it nearly made me heave. The only drink I haven't tried in the past three days is a beer.

I can't go to the shops to buy beer. A friend is delivering some basic foodstuffs for us (bread, butter, milk, eggs) tomorrow morning but I didn't think it was wise to ask him for a crate of beer.

but I didn't think it was wise to ask him for a crate of beer. Of course not. Start with just one beer.

*chuckles* I had the same thought as JoeP.
Anyways, I'm sorry to hear you feel rotten. Get well soon! And weak tea with a soaked biscuit is usually easy to keep down as is yoghurt with a bit of vanilla.

Are you feeling any better Steve?

No, about the same as we were when we started but coughing isn't quite so painful now because my chest muscles have grown stronger

Oh dear. Maybe we should quarantine this thread. Obviously it's contagious.

You have food poisoning, Joe?
|
|
|
Post by JoeP on Jan 21, 2019 21:33:04 GMT
Probably not. But I have had a sore tummy since lunch yesterday. If it was just eating too much (which I did ... and then there were desserts) it should have cleared by this morning. But if it was actual food poisoning or an infection it would probably have been more serious.
So I can only blame this thread.

Also, lunch yesterday was Chinese, marking the upcoming Chinese new year.

How are you feeling now? Since this was ten days ago? Are you alive?

I'm still alive but I can't speak for JoeP.
