Have you been to Cambridge....tourist-wise, that is?
If you haven't, then you should. Then, you could give us your impressions in 'compare and contrast' rants.

It's where we like to get our vice chancellors from.
JoeP, what about Will then?

I'm in Jerusalem. Yesterday I went to the Dead Sea. It was warm enough to go swimming.

I've lived in Cambridge, visited many times, and now Little Miss JoeP lives there. Oxford was a nice enough town to visit, marred only by a sub-standard university.

Now, I've been to both, but it has been more than a decade since I spent time in Oxford. What struck me about my return to Cambridge (I'd visited in 1980, my first trip) was that it had quite a bit more green park space than I remembered Oxford having. Of course, being within easy reach of Avebury and the Cotswolds has a lot to commend it, but still, Cambridge was a much more pleasant experience for me.
There's a university in Oxford? Really?

I spent many hours doing motorcycle training in and around Oxford. I also had to do my test there, as there's far less test centres than for cars. It's a lovely place, assuming you like driving through housing estates at 20mph!

I wam at home, but we just went out to the supermarket as a family. First outing? Am busy with our little guy who has a cold and is really clingy. Which I can completely understand, but I don't sleep much.

Yes. Not very exciting, but exciting enough. I was knackered afterwards. My muscles aren't fully operational yet.

Most of the time, though hormones really help. She wants feeding every 2 to 4 hours, so we do have several wake ups at night. I'll fall right back asleep though. Unfortunately Peter has more trouble with that.

I used to do the 12 o'clock feed so Pat could sleep.

Peter does the nappy change while I do the feeding. Though starting tomorrow we'll have to change our routine since he will have to go back to work.

Good luck with setting up a new routine. I was listening to a lady at the airport yesterday, brand new mother travelling with a 6 week old. She seemed to have it so together it was incredible! I'm not sure I ever saw a new mum so completely chillaxed with everything. She hadn't even taken anything to carry the baby in, just decided to hold him because she'd be sitting most of the time and didn't have far to walk at the airport. The father is in the military so away and she's doing it all by herself.

I know now I would have been able to do it alone, but I'm very very glad I don't have to. Respect to all the men and women who are doing it by themselves.

Does anybody other than me come here daily? ...at all?
Facebook, what hast ye done?
It seems very quiet and I've started several threads without anyone commenting. ...at all.
Facebook, what hast ye done?
I suppose it is possible that I've offended everybody to the point that I'm being totally ignored.
But then, I remember....moderators.
Non-algorithmic. I think.

Hiya Goat. I also have noticed a lack of threads and comments here. I think with 2 young babies in the mix and Jo's Turk job, there's a lot less energy for EF. Unfortunately! Personally, I'm a slow typist so I tend to be succinct.
