Only go to the cinema once or twice each year. If a new film does come out which I want to see like Star Trek I usually wait until it comes out on DVD. Most new films don't interest me.

I'm now trying to force him to watch it but he thinks it's too long. I'm sure he will eventually.

We are going to watch it after dinner hopefully. It was such an integral part of my childhood - I remember when my dad bought me the book in a second hand bookshop because I loved the film. It had a pink cover. And when I did ballet when I was 6 or 7 the ballet school did a production of Mary Poppins and us first graders played the flowers that turned into butterflies.

What about Apollo 13 or Forest Gump and then there is Pirates of the Carribbean - the first one.
I'm not sure I ever saw FG in full though so maybe can't count it.

I used to watch films quite frequently but not so much now.

I have seen bits of Forrest Gump and found it to be of no interest to me. If nothing else, the excessive compositing of pictures makes my brain spin. If you have Mary Poppins shock, you may have seen Blake Edwards' film S.O.B. Those who have seen it will know what I mean!

I've seen bits of it but I can't remember seeing it all the way through. Is that the one where Julie Andrews takes a spoonful of sugar instead of her medicine?

Not instead... "A spoon-full of sugar helps the medicine go down..." Not sure that's helpful if the medicine is for diabetes though!

Well DG has now seen Mary Poppins. CB you need to rectify the situation so that we can claim it as the film all EF has watched.

Annie is really good I'd recommend it. I've seen FOrrest Gump and liked it well enough. Not been interested enough to watch POTC despite the Johnny Depp eye candy

The St. Trinian films or Hammer horror films. Has anyone mentioned Gone WithThe Wind?

Frankly, I don't give a damn! (Come on! There is no way I could not post that!) Brief Encounter and the more futuristic Close Encounters.
