Can't wait for The Day of the Doctor tonight. I've bought chocolate, snacks and a bottle of wine - all I need for my date with David...

Perhaps David himself sitting on your sofa would complete the experience.

David and Matt seem to hit it off quite well - even campily - in the trailers I've seen.
It's on at the same time in Finland. And South Africa. So I expect the entire world will be watching it.
There might even be some kind of party thread on EF?

Those two were on Graham Norton's show last night. It's odd how similar they seem to be together. I will probably watch it later or during the week. I don't get so locked into these "exciting events."

There might even be some kind of party thread on EF? Hooooold on ... are some people (Moose?) going to watch this later, not live, and require no spoilers?

Well I'll be too busy eating, drinking and, er, drooling to party here.

I might be the only one here who is quite indifferent about Doctor Who. David Tennant is cute, but the new guy looks, erm, rather plain. I've never watch his episode though.

I actually like Matt better than David, although I think David is cuter looking.

Having seen Paul McGann in the role again, I'd like to see more of him doing it.

I always preferred it when the stories were kept separate. When they start with this recent obsession with the long story arcs, I get frustrated. Makes me want the Daleks to win, just to stop all the "bad wolf" nonsense!

I might be the only one here who is quite indifferent about Doctor Who. *gasps* I feel the same way about Big Bang Theory. I've seen it a few times, and... meh. I can't really understand its popularity.

Nor had Moose until recently, at which point she started to watch loads of them as I own the first five series on DVD.

As nerd-based sitcoms go, I think The IT Crowd is far superior.
But changing the subject (again), can we talk about Day of the Doctor yet? Has Jo watched it now?

I think she has. I will need to see it again soon, though.
I found the IT crowd too annoying, which is surprising, as I essentially do the same job those guys do.

Eh, don't know. It isn't inaccurate, and find helpdesk humour generally funny, I just didn't care for the feel of the show.

IT Crowd definitely got better as they went along. The first couple of series were patchy, but the last ones were hilarious. It's just different sorts of humour, I guess. To me, BB Theory falls into the same category as Friends, Will and Grace, Frazier and other US sitcoms. They are cleverly written, fast-paced and slick, but I don't really laugh at them. I might watch them if there's nothing else on.
Anyway, Doctor Who... I watched it again this morning. It definitely benefits from a second viewing - the plot twists made sense and I caught some of the lines that I had missed last night. The chemistry between Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt was brilliant.
