I haven't quite worked out how the exalt works yet. I think it's limited. I haven't smote anyone yet but I am dying to just to see whatit does. Do not want to hurt anyone's feelings tho

Smite me. I won't take it personally.

It's not offering me the option at the moment

I guess Thingy would have to be exalted to 1 before she could be smitten back to 0.

I think you're only allowed to do that a certain number of times.

After you exalt or smite someone there is a certain time during which you can't do it for a while.

I like the idea of an Exultation Quotient.

I just exalted you Mari. However, I see those options have now disappeared. Do you feel any different? Ah, so THAT's why I felt so elated! It's always good to be a step closer to world domination.

Doesn't Smiting and Exalting happen in the Member Profile now? No, it's gone from there as well now, odd I used it a few moments ago - perhaps it will come back after the hour is up? Smite is such an EF word isn't it. It reminds me of that Glorious Mordorian hymn, 'Smite the Heathen' .

That is indeed what happened, that must be the method by which the system regulates us away from indiscriminate smiting exalting.

I'm still a little confused by this forum.

Those of us who dwell alongside cavia often have a confused look - we learn it from our little friends.
Squeak.

You may smite a person with zero karma: it changes their karma to -1. You must then wait an hour before you can exalt them back up to zero. I've tried it. Sorry Johnnie, I didn't mean it. :-(

Don't worry about it. I could do with a tad more karma in my profile, negative or positive. The blandness of the zero offends me.

*nods* But now the question arises: what will we do should EF1 get its ass back in gear?

I still prefer the old server, apart from the speed.

We do seem to have been parted from our heritage - a bit like Victorian immigrants to the US talking about 'the old country'.
