Fr G: nice pics, thanks Alva: definitely broody Miisa: Thinking of murdering some people? (I'm sure only ones who richly deserve it.) Being quality penguins, Me and Miisa have most things covered... Male ... Female Birth ... Death Wishing to be further away from London ... ...If I get a coffin made, I don't want it to have open sides...

Okay, this is a reaaaaally weird post to fall into in the early morning, without remembering what the previous page was about...

I left yours to complete on that one, hence the smiley... I suppose an alternative answer would be "Wishing someone else was further from London" as I can't understand why anyone would want to go there often, let alone leave near the sink-hole!

What a confusing conversation ...
Anyway back from saying mass now and heading to the workshop: I have to produce a dozen sets of brake gear today, all very straightforward but a little less than stunning visually, so there probably won't be a photo this time.

I think you're overestimating your impact, dear Alva. If you're not careful I might have to start some ego bashing... *looks forward to it*

Oi!
How about some peaceful co-existence, eh?
The braking systems went well. Tomorrow I shall put a kit of parts together so that I can spend quiet evenings in Browershaven building Ein Selbstentladewagen, almost the last thing I need for the grand scheme to be completed.

Too bad we got rid of the smite button. In a series I sometimes watch, New Girl, they have a douchebag jar. I think the above comment qualifies... >_<

How is/was your holiday? We have a big minirail event here every year, biggest in Europe or so the advertisement says. Would you like me to notify you if it is to take place again anytime soon by the way?

Do you mean Eurospoor, Mari? I hve been twice - very enjoyable weekends but a touch pricy what with the air fares and all ... and I am now in Miser Mode because there is just a chance that the house move is under way again.
The agent tells me that, for the third time, he has sold the presbytery. This month's guest purchaser is a cash buyer who does not need to sell a property to complete the deal, that means it is only a three property chain ... so who knows it might work out this time ... maybe. Getting rather despondent about it all, I have to say.

As do I. Not having to sell his own house first sounds promising though. I didn't mean Eurospoor, I meant a modelspoorbeurs Zutphen. But apparently I misunderstood the advertisement, they are the largest in the east of the Netherlands, not of Europe. However, entrance is only 4 euros

I shall investigate it at once! In the meantime we are getting ready for winter on the Muelviertelbahn: But the chickens should be cosy in their new house (because of the New Coach Project I have a lot of old coach bodies to use up - all inventive suggestions welcome). But I don't think that the city Folk will be able to come up to Vordemweissenbach to use their Sommerhaus for much longer, not once the snow starts to fall.

Sadly no, both of them contracted a fungal infection and had to return to the trust for treatment - it was very distressing - the spores cannot easily be removed from a wooden building, you have to run a flame over all exposed surfaces, so Bumble and Ofelia are still with the trust (at their home for retired cavia) I paid for the treatment and go to see them sometimes but they cannot come back to this accommodation ... perhaps in the new house?

You know - I feel really quite odd today ... no parish duties to worry about and in the university for my first working day under the new regime. The other thing that has been nice is that I have spent the whole morning meeting people I know - it's a big place and I don't usually expect to see the few people I have got to know (because of being part-time) but they all seem to have been out in force today - quite cheering really. So I am in my place in the PG study room trying to get started but feeling a tiny bit disorientated. I have to go and see the director of the research school shortly then I shall go back to the prebytery and move some more packing cases around, the furniture seems to be evaporating ...
