As strange it may seem, my two boys who were once very close aren't 'speaking' to each other anymore- basically, they can't stand being near each other and hiss when they get too close. They won't share from the same bowl anymore, or curl up on the same patch of bed. My poor dog doesn't know who to side with, I just hope they'll make up :/ Has this happened to anyone else with cats, or doesn anyone have any ideas as to what's happened?

My sister's two cats (females) don't speak to each and now occupy different ends of the house when possible. They don't fight, they just ignore each other.
Cats: you can't predict them or control them.

Also, I thought the thread title was part of a sentence and I expected your OP to continue it ..
My cats have fallen out of bed.
My cats have fallen out of their box and I can't get them back in.
My cats have fallen out of the window.

Sorry, mine are still getting along well, though Tybbe has stopped wanting to share the litter box with Puck and felt that he had to show it through peeing everywhere till I got the message. *sigh*

Is there a female on heat anywhere in the neighbourhood?

Ooh that might be a good point Moose- there are lots of cats nearby, so it's possible that one of them is on heat. It would explain all their odd behaviour. Oh dear, battle of the males :/

hehe yeah. Even if they are castrated they will react to a female on heat. My two males used to go a bit funny sometimes and I presumed that was why. Listen out for singing outside at night..

Yep, they're both castrated but that might not defer them. If I hear singing, I'll know it's them, haha

Have they fallen back in yet? Funny you should mention it, today they were sleeping on my bed, closer than they used to be, but still not completely normal. Anyway, it reminded me of how when they were younger they would spend all their time together and we're inseparable. This was when we thought one of them was a girl, and we assumed that they were in love (or whatever the cat equivalent is), but we now know that they're both boys. Does anyone know if cats can be gay? Just curious

My much missed cat Merry, a castrated male, used to try to mount Pippin sometimes. Pip didn't half look cross

I've seen Miisa's female dog mount her (larger) male dog. Who puts up with it with his usual rather worried expression.

I think my cat Louie give off a rather female vibe. Silk (the other male) does try to mount him even though both of them are neutered. But Louie never tries to mount Silk.

Joe, I first read your post as 'I've seen Miisa's female dog mount her...' at which point my brain temporarily ceased to function

I rather think when it comes to sex, animals get confused sometimes.

When I bought Louie as a kitten, he was sold to me by the breeder as a female, whom we named Lily. I took "her" to the vet for her first shots, and the vet called her "p'tit coco" (a male diminutive). I corrected the vet "you mean p'tite cocotte" (the female form). That was when we found out our she was a he. Maybe we were picking up on the female vibe even then!

That is exactly what happened with my Mitsy- he had a pink collar and was given many female pet names e.g. "little/Mitsy girl" until the vet told us that 'she' was a boy! It took rather a long time for me to get used to calling him "my little boy"!

I've never understood how people get confused When I had Gandalf, my kitten (he died at six months) it seemed pretty obvious to me tat he was a he..

When I got my cat they said that they were certain he was a boy; it never occurred to me that they could be wrong, although I suppose I should have had them sexed :/

We were given two gerbils on the pretence they were both male. A few months later, one of them had babies and we knew then that she wasn't.
