I had a guy in to fix the boiler earlier and at some point whilst he was coming and going Luthy seems to have either slipped through the open door or out through a window. Anyway once I noticed she was gone - after three searches of the house - I went to look for her in the street. Started to get very panicky when I eventually heard a faint meow. I kept calling and calling but could not locate her was terrified that she was injured somewhere. Anyway I eventually located her on the other side of the fence that separates my garden from the neighbours .. she had managed to get herself stuck between the fence and their composting bins. With the kind help of the lady next door we contrived to get her out between us. She's still a bit quiet though. Not sure what she makes of her sojourn into the outside world.

Plotting her escape so she can take over the world.

I'm glad you found her. When I was at my parents 2 weeks ago, I let the cats outside in the backyard. They've been out there before, but this time there was some noise they hadn't heard before, so Tybbe, my coward ran off. I heard the neighbour say there was a gray at in the alley, so I went out and walked around a bit, but couldn't find him so I started calling his name. I heard a faint meowing from somewhere near our backdoor, but unfortunately he could have been in 3 gardens from that angle. Common sense prevailed though, so I moved the bin near the backdoor and there he was, meowing pitifully. I had to lure him out for the longest time though >_<

They're silly beasties I could not work out if Luthy was unable to get back through the fence or was just being stubborn and refusing. I think she was prolly scared of the lady from next door too even tho she was being very helpful

A strange cat once scared my parents when I was still a baby. It first managed to fall into a sort of small, but deep pool next to the cellar door, then ran into my parents' house and got stuck behind some cupboard. It was limping by the time my dad had managed to get it out so they still took it to the vet. My dad was angry, though.
