956 207 Are there any other ways of bothering trees then?

No, so best not to.

I suppose you can bother them by chopping them down. That must be irritating for the tree.

I think that still qualifies as rudely bothering them, extremely so.

I came to work without a towel ... a lamentable oversight

Yummy. I could totally eat that right now if there were any left. As you can see, I decimated the carton of vla and got every last drop.

956 208 How do you feel about seagulls? Do you think that you might possibly have some Elvish blood? The easy test is to ask whether when you talk to the trees, do they answer back? Of course they answer back, they are polite trees! But I usually try not to rudely bother them. Only the kind of decent behaviour that we would have expected from you. 956 197

It was particularly delicious. And a good way to finish off the cake. Is it terrible we ate almost an entire chocolate cake by ourselves? We did share the first night with guests but that only took care of about a third.

Very true. Today I have been very good and now I'm going to make some healthy minestrone soup for dinner.

956 189 He is bigger than me RB, but he's not a big horse . I call him the microdude. But he came 3rd in his first One Day Event yesterday, and I was sooooo proud of him. He did make an utter mess of the dressage though, but redeemed himself in the showjumping and cross country.

956 188 Is it usual to expect hosses to be good at all three things? My sister does dressage and buys horses specifically for that.

Post by Thingy on Aug 19, 2013 19:01:17 GMT
956 187 Eventers are expected to do all three disciplines, but they won't be as good at a particular discipline as those horses who are bred for and specifically trained for that particular discipline, if you see what I mean? My wee guy is a rescue and when I took him on I just wanted to give him a home and security. Being able to ride him would be an added bonus. And here he is, taking on a ODE - and doing well in it!! I'm just so proud of him He's only 14.1hh, which is ikkle. He's not even a horse!

Post by Thingy on Aug 19, 2013 22:28:17 GMT
956 182 No Mari, he's called Spike. But he's a dude and he is pretty small, so I call him the Microdude.

956 181 It is very late and I shouldn't have started a resync on my phone. Want to text Moose before bed but, due to phone being stupid, it'll cancel it if I unlock it!
