SOMEONE did not notice that we changed pages, and screwed up the count...

959 371 Some petty difference between the respective visibility distances. I pick him up on similar faults mercilessly, so I should expect him to take any chances he can get!

959 370 It's very foggy outside my window now. I went swimming with my kids this morning *we seem to have a problem with the countdown number

We always have a problem with the countdown number.

It's because people don't notice the new page and they post the next number down from the old page. It's hard to see that there's another page!

My fault this time. I keep missing new pages on other threads too. The top post on this page seems to reflect the same problem (unless this goes to a new page).

979 274 I finished another Monsieur Poirot story. I prefer Miss Marple, but Agatha Christie is always fun to read

979 269 I am trying to learn to read Japanese right now. As a Taiwanese, I know a little bit of Japanese and understand a lot of the Japanese characters (which are Chinese in origin). It's not going to be easy, but I just learn it for fun. So as long as I enjoy the learning process, I will keep learning it I do more and more Polish to Chinese translation nowadays, but I am still not fluent in Polish. Oh well!

959 265 Learning Scottish? Is there a Scottish? Several: Lowland Scots is - or was - a hybrid and the language Burns wrote in when he wanted to be ethnic ... and then there are the sundry Gaelic dialects ... oh ... and whatever it is they speak in Glasgow, nobody else understands it.
