Honey was exactly two months old when we got her. The owners did not let any of the dogs go until after 8 weeks.

Five were born, three of them by caesarian section. Two were too weak, but a dog and two bitches survived.

Cute puppies. Sorry to hear about the two that didn't make it though!

Cute. But a bit sad to hear that two didn't survive.

It seems to be quite common.

Yes, it's nature's way of compensating. The number in a litter or frequency of births tends to go hand in hand with the death rates.

I know, it's the same with guinea-pigs. We were lucky since Patch only had three.

Squee! Mail me a puppy immediately!
Our guinea pig always had five each but the first was always still born (that said I think she only had two or three litters)

Oh, they are so cute! But puppies grow very fast, my daughter said that our dog grow bigger every day.

So cute! Not surprised at her being thin after offloading that lot!

I'm sure she'll be glad when they're weaned and she's back home!

PUPPIES! They're so fat and chewy!
With little collars! Is that just to tell them apart? It looks like one doesn't have a collar.

I think Honey's mummy was glad to get them off milk because she was getting lots of nips from the ten of them!

Yes the collars are to tell them apart at a glance, tough they are actually quite different upon a closer look. The red one is the one that was born by caesarian, and is a lot thinner than the two other piglets.

Apparently she is quite the responsible ad dutiful mother, getting up sometimes twice a night to check on them and feed them.

Won't she miss them horribly when they go?

Was she super-excited to see you again - or perhaps she is so devoted to her pups right now that it wasn't that big a deal?
