It's still coming down like crazy here. Going out my front door was a challenge. The snow was over my knees. I wound up having to go out and shovel for several days in a row. Got rather stiff and sore from doing so, but have had a few days reprieve, and am feeling better. Actually, the one day wasn't necessary, absolutely. The sun was out, though, and I thought it a good opportunity to get some more of it up and let the sun do some of the work for me. That turned out to work pretty well. They had been forecasting our first dose of real, bitter cold for tomorrow and Friday, but as it's gotten closer, the forecast temps have been steadily on the rise and it appears that it really won't be all that cold after all.

Holy moly....I've never seen it any colder than -2 F. And that was for a very brief interlude (thankfully).
We are having cold, clear and dry weather. We are flirting with the freezing point, which is 'cold' for here. Subfreezing overnight and slightly above freezing during daylight. It's windy, too, which makes it all the colder. It's typical that when temperatures fall, it's when it is cold and dry. The transition period, moving from warm to cold, or cold to warm, is when we get our icy precipitation (snow or freezing rain, generally)...that's what is being suggested for tomorrow morning, ice.
Anyway, once we get icy precipitation, any accumulation usually is gone within 48 hours and we go back to our persistent light rain typical for a locale on the edge of a temperate rain forest.

No sign of any cold weather here. It's 8°C minimum for the next five days. Plenty of rain, though

No, no, no, Miisa....They haz their own coldness. It's just as cold as your cold. Honest. Trust me on this. They have so much of it, they give a lot of it to us....*grumble, grumble*...Thoughtful of them, eh?

You'd think that with their own coldness - and seemingly oodles to spare - they could have kept their hands off ours, but nooooo, fancy Canadia is stockpiling everyone's coldness!

It was unseasonably warm today. I didn't even wear my waterproof trousers on my motorbike today and I even turned off my heated grips!

We get the same cloud cover here, juju, most of the time in winter. I'm tempted to take some of your sort of precipitation because it would help melt the snow, but then it would in turn create more ice.

We just have dark clouds and rain. Again. Opening the curtains during the day hardly makes a difference.

They're calling for -15C on Monday and +1C on Tuesday. Crazy weather! We had that happen at New year's. It is really a big problem, especially if it rains, as the ice melting and being wet on top but solidly frozen under the layer of water is lethal. And then, after a few days of snow raining away, we got more freeze, so everything that was wet is now frozen solid. The dog likes it, as the top layer of the snow that was gooey and wet has now frozen hard enough for him (and in many cases also me) to walk over it without sinking through. He would previously jump into the powder snow and completely disappear...

My dog loves wet snow. She buries her muzzle in it rolls around in it and has a grand old time. Of course she gets soaked and drips water all over the house.

It's been a good day today. Warm, dry and calm. The window man thought so too because it meant he could replace our windows. Now, clearing up broken glass from the old windows.

It is so warm here I have removed the thermal lining in my motorbike jacket as it was becoming unbearably warm wearing it. I've also barely used my heated grips in the last week.

They're now calling for about +10C on Friday. I'll believe it when I see it though. This time of year, that's too far away for accurate predictions.

The weather forecast for Sunday says it will be somewhere between -4°C and 6°C and that it will be cloudy. I think I could have forecasted that.
