I've gotten addicted to watching entire seasons of tv series all at once on Netflix instead of following them as they're aired.
I'm currently binging on Crossing Jordan and rewatching Torchwood.
What do you like to binge watch?

That's the way I like to watch TV given my preference (although Canadian Netflix sucks eggs). At the moment, I'm watching Frankie and Grace, and I just finished all three seasons of Silk.

I agree. Canadian Netflix does suck quite a bit. I do a lot of supplementing with DVDs of my favorite series. And I would certainly never advocate masking one's IP. Especially since Netflix has so strongly told people not to.

On Netflix I have mostly binge watched Supernatural and Dead Like Me. Others I recommend are Agent Carter and Daredevil (both by Marvel). I have loads waiting for me to get around to them, though. I am a little apprehensive as I noticed some Buffy episodes had been edited down in the Netflix version. I wouldn't notice if it wasn't a show I knew very well, so I wonder what ones I am missing stuff from.
Watching tv shows on DVD is horribly infuriating, or at least the older discs used to be, because you had to go back the menu to get to the next episode and that was infuriating. Plus changing discs every few episodes.

Are the Marvel shows on Netflix?

They are on ours (not Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, I think), and I think Daredevil was made for Netflix.

I hate that the Netflix offer is so different from country to country. There isn't much sci-fi on the Dutch one and fantasy that is not specifically for children or families as pretty much non-existent.

They just introduced Netflix to Oz a couple months ago. The offering is dismal and there really is no excuse considering they don't have to subtitle anything like they do for the Dutch one. The Dutch one was pretty dismal too, possibly more so than the Aussie one. On the other hand, it works really well, very user friendly. I'm trying a free month on Presto right now and I can't even watch that on my TV! And the movies constantly cark it. I tend to watch movies, not really keen on much TV shows.

I mostly watch series, but the films on offer are indeed old ones in most cases. Not that I care: it gives me a chance to rewatch my youth

I wouldn't mind if they had old movies - the problem is they just don't have much of a range. I tried looking for Ghostbusters, the Batman movies, and lots of other stuff I can't rmemeber now and nothing much was on there.

When Netflix was first released, my father compared it to going to a video store an hour before closing on a Saturday night.

What does that mean?

Boy. Now I feel old. Rental places typically had limited numbers of the new/popular films. And since Friday and Saturday are your most popular movie nights, by the time halfway through Saturday night rolled around, you were left with the dregs to choose from, and often none of the things you went to the store to rent

Doesn't have anything to do with your age, we just never went to a video store. We watched films on TV if they aired. If not, no TV.

I'm watching Rita and season 3 has just gone up. Rita is cool. I don't think you can get it in the US though: it's a Danish show.

I watched it on Netflix with my daughter. We both enjoyed it, being a past and a future teacher.

You have it? It's so not fair. The US and Canada listing are so much bigger than the Dutch one That said: Rita is cool. Though I enjoyed season 1 more than season 2. I loved the episode about the sportsday where you couldn't score more than 5 goals or you'd lose. It wouldn't surprise me if some parent or pedagogue would try to implement such a rule at some point here. *rolls eyes*

I keep getting emails from Netflix about new seasons etc. from things on my list or thing I might want to watch. I can't seem to shut those emails down.
