I sleep with my phone by my pillow. Pippin sleeps ON my pillow.

Yes, he uses the phone to call me and all I can hear is a quiet room when I answer it. He's probably sitting across the room sniggering at me!

My prediction: Jacob Zuma is going to mess up this country (South Africa) even further with more civil unrest and proposed clampdowns on the media but people are still going to vote for him in the next election no matter how incredibly angry and fed up they are him at him and the ANC. I'm not usually negative but I've never been very optimistic regarding anything in SA politics.

We cut our guinea-pigs' claws today. All of them. I had to wear my fencing gloves for Sparky because he tried biting my fingers.

I gave up cutting feline claws ages ago. Pip seems to manage to scratch them down alright on his own

Yes, I've seen your sofa and my spare desk top in my living room. If it wasn't for Honey's protection, Tinker would have destroyed it long ago!

Our guinea-pigs can't quite manage it by themselves. They chew some of their back ones, but not very successfully. So we have to do it for them. Not an easy job, but they are happier afterwards.

Germany if all goes well.. if for some reason I don't get accepted at any of the universities I applied for, I'll apply again for the next Winter Semester, but also to AIMS (African Institute for Mathematical Science) in South Africa which I was advised to apply for by a friend who's already studying there..

We may or may not miss each other depending on when you move, as DG and I hope to be moving to Australia this year.

That's a shame. What is you plan B?
I certainly hope our plan of moving to Oz pans out since things are not so well for me here at the moment. We've now sent all the documents that the embassy requires so hopefully they will just give us a positive decision for the visa. They may of course, ask for more evidence.

That's a shame. What is you plan B? Applying to every university in the observable universe.. I hate those procedures.. why do we have to go through that boring stuff? Good luck to you anyway!
