How do you prefer them? And scrambled, lightly buttered, lovely and fluffy

Can I vote for all of them (except the last)? I love eggs. I do prefer types with soft yolks.

Yeah it can be tricky to get a yoke perfect. I often find when I fry them that they either end up undercooked or the yolks get hard without my meaning them too ... nowhere near as nice.
I forgot to add Scotch eggs.
Also, has anyone ever tried any eggs other than chicken's?

I think at some point I've eaten a duck egg. Or was it a goose egg? I can't remember.
I saw quail eggs at the store earlier this week - cutest little things!

I like them scrambled, soft-boiled or fried (soft). Why do we have to vote for one?

Because I'm a dictator Oddly enough I find the idea of eating other kind of eggs a bit weird ... simply because I never have and was not raised on them.

I like fried eggs over easy --not too hard and not too soft. But I'm not a big fan of eggs in general.

I've tried century eggs, which are made from duck eggs. It was the nastiest thing I've ever eaten.

i'd give them a try really though they look nasty and they apparently smell strongly of sulphur (still, it will give me some idea of the cuisine that is likely to be on offer in hell). I read somewhere though that though they smell and look awful they taste quite bland ... is that not true?

Surströmming is a lovely idea! Herring that have fermented, just short of rotting. Has the kind of smell that can infest a building and not go away!

I ate a pickled egg yesterday at a local pub - the Hatters, named after Stockport's hat industry in the 19th century.

I read somewhere though that though they smell and look awful they taste quite bland ... is that not true? They don't really taste any more sulphury than a fresh egg, because Sulphur is normally present in eggs, anyway. What they taste and smell of strongly is lye. They taste like a hair perm smells.

I like eggs cooked in any way. When I cook them myself, I most often scramble them as it's the quickest way.
I've tried duck eggs and goose eggs - both of which taste different to chicken eggs (and are bigger - especially the goose ones). I've always wanted to try a turkey egg, but I've never found anywhere that sells them.

Apparently it's considered uneconomical to keep turkeys for eggs. Though I can't see any reason why they would not be just as edible as any others.
