You should have received an email advising you that the old EF has migrated to Yuku. The email gives you a link and a new password to log in. You can use this to access the old EF but you don't have to if you don't want to. We will continue to use the new EF instead of the old one unless we find a good reason to use Yuku. If you do want to access the old EF, - You must log in using the new password that you have been given. If your username contains a space then the link specified in the email you have been sent is incorrect. You need to replaces spaces with hyphens. For example,
http://miss jayme kat.europeforum.fr.yuku.com/settings/account
should be:
miss-jayme-kat.europeforum.fr.yuku.com/settings/account
- We recommend that you change your password to something memorable.
- We would like you to check that you can access all the forums you should be able to access (and no more).
- If you have not received an email because your email address was out-of-date then
let me know and I will reset the password for you tough. I can't change it for you so you will never be able to access to forum again with that username you need to raise a ticket with Yuku support to arrange access.
Edited to qualify last point.

I signed in and everything that was visible seems to be visible. But the format has really changed! I feel more at home here.

Yeah, it is a really odd layout and moving around seems a bit of a hassle. Happy enough here.

I am pissed off at their impossibly shoddy customer service. I don't mind staying ehre

I happened to check my spam folder today and saw an email from Yuku which I'd never heard of but thought I'd look at it because I thought it might be about the migration for EF. They sure don't make it very obvious and if I hadn't been expecting something would have entirely dismissed such an email. Haven't bothered to login though.

Tried to log in but it won't accept the ridiculously convoluted new password that they have given me.

Even with copy + paste? I almost left a space in front of it when I copied.

I've not seen an email yet, but come to think of it, I've not checked that account yet today.
*runs off to go check it*

The conversion has been mangled: - 68 usernames containing full stops and other non-alphanumeric characters have been changed to numbers, such as 8639747.
- A quote symbol has been converted as & quot;
- BBCodes such as are written out in full
- Special symbols are mangled
- A new username called Dory has been created and given 153 of Moose's posts. The username is marked as Admin but does not, in fact, have any special priviledges.
I would not recommend using it as it is even if Forumer Support were marvellous.

Still have not seen an email, but I think I may have cleared the spam folder too quickly.

OK, got it and got in OK, but I'm not crazy about the interface, or the fact that even though I changed the skin, it went right back to the yucky standard one once I was able to find my way back to the forum. It seems overly complicated, although it looks like you can just insert a link in your post without the need for URL tags.

I am not sure that I really want to bother ... should one ever go back to the 'old country'? Or as another phrase puts it, 'the past is a different country ...'
I had already recovered the material I wanted to save and put it on Lfe in Mordor, which has not been migrated.

Yuku have changed the interface to look more like the old EF.

I didn't get an email from Yuku (unless it went in my spam folder and got deleted). What should I do?

I'm not too sure on this. As a guest you can access the old EF without having to do anything. If you want to access the restricted portions of EF, you would have to contact Yuku Help, help.yuku.com/home, and raise a ticket explaining the situation. It's a very bad situation and I'm sorry but I didn't have any choice in the matter.

Well, that was easier than expected. I just clicked the link for "forgot my password" and they sent me a reset link as well as my new username. You may call me 8638789. Any way someone can change that back to Sarah N. (or something less numerical)? Also, the puctuation is all screwed up!

You must do that by logging in and going into your account. I have complained about the punctuation. If you find a post where it is particularly bad, other than in your signature, please let me know.

I'll change the display name. But I will still have to log on as 8638789, right? Not that it matters a great deal because we're here now.

I may be able to get Yuku to change that. But yes, you're right, we're staying here.

I have not received any e-mail. I could not log in to the old EF forum/yuku, so I asked for a new password. But when I logged in I did not find any EF forum, it was only Yuku and shopping.
Find this new forum was not easy either. Everytime I googled Europe forum, I ended up at Yuku.
And what's up with this casino thing I was forced to say yes to?

Well done, apart from a spammer, yours is the first post on the old EF this year. I have contacted Yuku about the mess they made in converting the old EF to Yuku but I don't think they care.
