I have turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, turkey curry, turkey stir fry, turkey pie and turkey turkey. THere's also a large platter of turkey, some pigs in blankets, cold roast potatoes, three kinds of stuffing and a chocolate yule log. Do dig in.

I'll have some turkey and stuffing. My daughter did duck's legs this year, which was nice. But I kind of missed the turkey.

We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and white gravy, and mac and cheese.

Turkey is not my favourite meat really - bit boring - but it's sort of traditional. Christmas and the days after are pretty much the only time I have them actually.

I don't eat meat at all when I'm at home. The fried chicken was yummy, though.

I baked some party snacks from the supermarket, cheddar and bacon quiches, since I can't have any of the chocolates and biscuits that people have bought for us. They were yummy but they only qualify as snacks. Not a full meal.

We didn't have goose this year which was nice because I'm not a big fan of goose. There weren't many leftovers at Frank's parents' either.

Goose is alright but fatty and not really worth the expense.

Potatoes roasted in goose fat (always loved them the next day when they're cold, for some reason), turkey, stuffing (yum!) and pigs in blankets!

Cold roast potatoes are great I like them in leftover sandwiches. How was your Christmas?

Afraid I'm a bit sick with a bronchial infection. Not hungry but will observe from a far distance so you all won't catch it.

It's OK, we can only catch viruses over the Internet.

I like roasted parsnips. Frank's sister had made them and they were really nice.

Yes, I think Frank and I need to buy them more often, but we can't get them in supermarkets here.

Do your bikes have paniers? You could fill them up at a supermarket and cycle home.

Yes, I think Frank and I need to buy them more often, but we can't get them in supermarkets here. That's a shame. You can get them in Finland. They're called palsternakkaa. Maybe in Germany Pastinaken are fed to livestock...
