Very exciting but we're going to get an oven, as soon as it's possible to bring one through to the kitchen. We've got a microwave and hot plate and slow cooker but no oven. I miss being able to oven roast things. I expect recipe suggestions

I think you need an oven, of course. But for slow cooking, providing you have the space to stand it, a dedicated slow cooker is much cheaper to run. They don't cost very much to buy and the saving in electricity compared to using the oven will pay for it over a few months.
