Bloody Pip and Tink had a fight earlier when I was in bed. Pip ran off and jumped on the bed, digging his claws into my face to get traction to jump to the top of the wardrobe. He damn near took my right eye out - two mms further up and I'd be in hospital now. As it is I've got nasty gouges on my face and feel like someone has punched me hard on the nose.
He has been turned into a casserole

On F******k you said he's avoiding your eye now.
Would have helped if he'd been avoiding it earlier.

Am quite glad we don't have a cat now. Seems dangerous. Glad to know your eye is ok.

That's the first time he's ever caused any significant injury Lots of minor scratches but nothing deep before. I think he just got a fright.

Our piggies sometimes bite our fingers if they smell of cucumber or tomato - and the next moment they're a bit shocked when they realise that what they have just bitten isn't tomato or cucumber.

I believe guinea pigs have poor eyesight but I'd expect them to get used to the smell of finger.

Not if it smells of vegetables. i tink they feel that it's something different when their teeth hit the skin. Luckily, the never bit badly enough for us to bleed.

That's kind of what sharks do. They don't want to bite people, but only realise they taste horrible after biting hard into what they think is food and the damage is done before they register it.

Why do humans taste any worse than, for example, tuna?

I didn't know sharks didn't like the taste of people.
