my brother and I got one of these each for Christmas when we were about six and seven respectively. I got the maths one and he got the spelling one but we used to swap when we got bored of our own. I loved the speak n maths Used to spend hours on it - I'd never before seen anything electrical that talked in that way and so I assumed that it must be magic. Years ago I found a speak n spell emulator online which was fun but never found a speak and maths one. I can still clearly remember all the things that it said though.

I didn't know what they were until I looked at one on Youtube. I don't really know what to think.

My only experience of a speak and spell was trying one and not being able to understand the word it was saying. We tried word after word that sounded like what it was saying, but it wouldn't accept any of them!

it did - well both of them did - have a rather interesting and very tinny accent which I presume was Chinese.

I don't think Genie has a tinny accent
