It seems every time I go on EF on my phone these days, I get one of those pages which make my phone buzz and tell me I've won something. You can't get rid of them without closing down the page. Very frustrating and off-putting. π

Sadly my phone won't let me download apps any more (not enough memory).

If you are getting popups maybe we should complain as then they lie on their text that appears instead of ads for those with adblockers:

I never try EF on my phone so don't have that issue. But I did experience it recently with a couple of random websites I was checking. Very annoying.

I'm posting this from my phone browser (Firefox Mobile, with no ad blocker).
I get the usual small banner ad at the top and a massive ad right at the bottom, but it's not too intrusive - I don't need to close popups.
What phone are you using Juju? And are you using its standard browser?

I'm on my phone now, but I don't get any advertisements.

These aren't ads, they're more like adware/malware. You can't close them, you have to close the whole window down.

Somehow I doubt it. But perhaps a virus crept in there. Do you have a virus scanner? I use Kaspersky free for android.

It sounds like a virus, juju.

I get similar popups to juju and agree they are very irritating. My first thought was that it was a virus but I installed a virus checker some time ago. I'm using Android.

Juju, I have the same problem. And a while ago, whenever I went on EF with my laptop, I was suddenly on a p*rn website. No idea now, that had never ever happened to me before. had to call my dad to help me fix it. Which is a great thing, calling Dad to say "I keep ending up on this p*rn website." Bus that seems to have been a problem with my laptop.

I've had both those problems but not for a while.
