Go here. Scan the selection....look around. Select the flavor you would have a single scoop of; cone or cup. Then, select the flavor you would have made in to a milkshake or flurry...to drink. Then, select three flavors to be included in a classic banana split (see ' specialities')

Mine:
Single scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge on a small waffle cone.
A Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake.
A scoop each of Jamoca, Love Potion #31, and French Vanilla for the banana split.
YUM.

For a single scoop I think I'd go with the Jamoca Almond Fudge.
For a milkshake probably vanilla.
For a banana split I'd go with the black walnut, vanilla and Jamoca.

Aw...I'm sorry. That's the idea, but it is not quite carried off with the panache of the site I was trying to provide. That site has 45 flavors, each displayed as a robust scoop on a cone...the viewer can click on each image to get a 'profile' of the flavor. Of course, if you enter any B&R outlet here, you will only get to choose from 31 flavors, so I assume the virtual site has seasonals that rotate through the selection...but I note that one of my favorites, World Class Chocolate, is not represented at all. The flavors, they come and go, depending upon the whims of the masses.

From the 'Classic Flavors' page: World Class Chocolate (TM): A tempting mix of white chocolate flavored and milk chocolate mousse ice cream.

So...I went over to my neighborhood Baskin & Robbins and had a World Class Chocolate milkshake to assuage my depressive tendencies. In the process, I tried their new flavor, First Class Camouflage: It's a mix of chocolate (brown), salted caramel (tan), and cake (olive drab). Not too shabby, actually. I asked if it was released for the hunting season and the counterlady laughed and denied that. Instead, she said it war released for Veteran's Day (November 11).

Looks a bit too much going on. When it comes to ice-cream, I'm a bit of a classicist (as in classic not class). I like straight flavours like pistachio or hazlenut, vanilla or chocolate (well chocolate is a whole other kettle of fish when talking about ice-cream, rarely done well), caramel (salted or not), raspberry, strawberry etc. There are times when bits are nice. I like cookie dough bits, and cheesecake bits, but those are more candy icecreams. For really, truly good icecream, it needs no embelishments.

Ooooh...I know well your moderated 'classicism'. Here, such a practitioner would be likely to limit their choices to vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry...the Neopolitan triumvirate. I'm a bit broader than that. I tend to not like anything with more candy...chunks or ribbons. (Love Potion #31 hit my list as a, "I need to sample that" and "hmmm...looks like a good addition to a banana split production"). Nuts in ice cream are fine, but they tend to impede consumption as a milkshake, clogging the straw. But...they have multiple vanillas, excellent multiple chocolates, as well as a decent coffee (which is what 'jamoca' is) and various berry and fruit flavors.
The 'First Class Camouflage' was just a 'tiny spoon trial'. I was surprised that the flavors were 'okay' ('salted' caramel sounds repellent to me, but, hey...), but I still wouldn't be likely to buy a scoop of it.
The best ice cream I have ever had was not commercial at all, but homemade, hand-churned vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberry compote as a topping.

Sounds yum! The best ice-cream I ate was this year for my birthday, we were at a Greek restaurant and they made their own honey icecream. It was AMAZING. I am a big fan of honey. Love it in my chocolate too.
Salted caramel is generally a flavour I love, but it does need to be done right. Pidapipo, my favourite gelato place here in Melbs, does the most wonderful salted caramel. Their pistachio is also amazing. And I break my rule of no toppings with them occasionally, as they do provide hot nutella to drizzle over your icecream. Hard to resist that!

We can get a nice honeycomb and clotted cream ice cream from the supermarket but it's pricey so it tends to be for treats only, or occasionally if they discount it.
