I'm still looking for a Christmas present for Frank. Last year I ordered "Red Dwarf" for him and he loved that, but I need suggestions. Any help, please? Hope Frank doesn't suddenly decide to join EF!

Victoria (8-part BBC play or the accompanying book about the play).

What sort of things does he like, normally?

I am not sure Victoria would be his thing - it seems like more of a female thing. Col finds it very tedious.
Have you ever seen Black Books? That's fantastic.

I tried watching a couple of episodes, but found it quite dreary. I have heard that some people just love it though.

I love Black Books and Red Dwarf. And so does Moose. I don't think you can go wrong with Black Books if he likes Red Dwarf. And obviously, Black Adder is a must if he has not seen that. Though he is British, so surely he has right?
If he likes Sci Fi and funny, absolutely get him Firefly - not British but who cares when it's just about the best TV show ever created?

Thanks for the suggestions. We have Firefly and we both know Black Adder, but of the latter we don't have any DVD's. And I have to look into Black Books.

I'm totally into sci fi, but didn't like Red Dwarf or Firefly. Andromeda was nice, though the ending sucked. I don't know Black Books though, I'll check it out. I've heard Dollhouse praised as a good show.

Dollhouse is good! And if he hasn't seen the more recent Battlestar Gallactica he might enjoy that. Neither of those are the least bit humourous though...

Dollhouse is good. Especially after the first half dozen episodes or so.

We both have the entire recent Battlestar Galactica Series on DVD. And Caprica. Both was a present from my youngest sister. But I have ordered the Black Books series for Frank and have all his presents together now. I'll keep Dollhouse in mind, maybe for next year. We're putting a nice DVD-collection together, even though that is kind of old-fashioned now that there is Netflix.

No, because Netflix removes things every so often. It only has seasons 5 to 9 of Doctor Who now and it had and removed seasons of Star Trek. So it's a good idea to buy things you really really like.
