I heard that about drinking carrot juice as well. My mother said when I was a child that people would look more tanned if they ate lost of carrots. Maybe it was a euphemism for orange.

An instructor at the gym sprayed herself with fake tan once and I subsequently asked her if she'd been away, genuinely thinking she had. She supposed I had asked her that because her skin was orange and told me it was just fake tan.

I think fake tans are still better than going to the sun studio.

I went to a sun studio, or tanning salon, once. I was trying to work out why I was allergic to the sun. The results were negative and years later I found that I was allergic not to the sun but to suntan cream.

I've never been to one of those places. I have seen some of the older women who do it regularly and their faces are incredibly wrinkly.

I adore the feeling of the sun on my skin. Why would I want to fake it and not get the sensation?

I adore the feeling of the sun on my skin. Why would I want to fake it and not get the sensation? Because there's no sun?

Because of skin cancer. Although, I do love the sun on my skin. And the smell afterwards. Slightly baked skin is just oh so delicious.
