It's not really a good idea with the size of our back garden but I ACHE for a garden shed so just for fun I've been looking them up online. That led me to log cabins online... oh boy, a log cabin would be fantastic. Of course, they seem to run up to fifteen thousand pounds each so that's not likely to happen even if our back garden magically expands overnight. Does anyone have one of either though?

I have a shed! It has in it: - A bicycle
- A wheelbarrow
- A lawnmower
- A hedge trimmer (yay!)
- Lots of cardboard boxes waiting to be taking to the recycling
- Lots of paint tins left over from the previous owners

Haven't you considered turning it into a cozy hobbit style den?

Nope. There's no space left in it with all that stuff. Also it's half a mile down the garden and not insulated (I'd need to grow a lawn on top for it to be a hobbit hole!). House is much cosier.
It does actually have a bamboo sofa ... which lives outdoors in the summer ... but it's currently covered with things.

I have a shed at my new place. It will be our working shed. Gardening stuff for me and woodwork stuff for him. He still thinks our bikes will also go in the shed, but they will go in the garage.

Everyone has a shed but me! Joe is that literally half a mile down the garden?! Do you live on some ancient family estate or something?

We don't have a shed but we have a gardening cupboard at the end of the garage.

Miisa doesn't have a shed. But she does have a cellar.

I wish I had a cellar. I grew up with cellars and they were wonderfully dirty and foreboding, but great fun.

That's a nice idea Though it must be rather a BIG shed for their meetings.

We have two sheds and they are both perpetually full of stuff. Fortunately we also have a little circle carved out of the woods in the back for me to use as my hobbit-hole and when it is warm enough I string hammocks.

My garden shed: When it was relatively new. The door now binds and the screens have been done in by vermin. Also, under the steel floor has become something of a rat sanctuary. I have to bait it about twice a year, when I start seeing evidence of rats. In the summer, the front of the shed is obscured by lots of grape leaves from a vine which grows along the roofline. I'm still looking for late season pix.
