Luthy and Tink just really, really went at one another - it's not the first time that this has happened but it's not happened recently and I think that this is the worst fight that I have seen. Fortunately none of them seem to be injured but they don't normally physically engage.

Hissing? Fur flying? Did either of them lose claws (I mean the outer layer of the claw, which in fact they shed from time to time. I once lifted my cat off my chair and she didn't want this and left seven or eight little claws in the fabric)?
Cats are mad. Sometimes play will turn into fighting. But they seem quite able to forget it afterwards.

No-one appears to have lost a claw but there was a lot of yowling and fur flying yes. I dunno what on earth they were doing. Maybe he was trying to have his way with her.

I noticed my boys are playing much fiercer since Oprah got added to the mix. Otherwise they all seem to have settled in now. Even the daily hissing has ceased.

We have dominance wars going on.
Cleo is six months older than Murray and has been lead cat since their arrival days apart...three years back.
Murray is now a mature stone-plus tutored tom, and half again the physical size of Cleo.
Cleo is still queen of the kickface and is lithe and athletic. Murray is a big hunk of bedlump. He's trying to use his mass differential to overwhelm her and she's having none of it. It's pretty much a standoff at this point, but he seems to be enforcing his dominance over the human bed. She still has two compliant doorkeepers and is an expert hoomin herder....and craploads of hidey-hole snooze spots that he will never fit in.
