Dude, this is excessive even for you. Are you OK? No. I am angry beyond all reason. I'm sick and tired of dealing with duplicitous bullshit from misguided immoderate moderators and the dimwits they enable. In case you are wondering, I was banned, the first time, for two days, for honestly answering a question the putative 'moderator' asked me in-thread. Since the question asked by the 'moderator' was asked in-thread, I answered in-thread. Honestly. The 'moderator' didn't like that. What is a 'moderator' doing telling posters to take their bickering to private messaging, anyway? If they don't like the 'bickering', just ignore it. It is that easy. But no, ours had to insert his open query into the thread. If he didn't want to see an honest answer in-thread, he should have taken it up with me in a PM, rather than query me in-thread. He got exactly what he asked for. Up until the 'moderator' shoved his nose into the exchange, there was a fairly equitable exchange of insults. The 'moderator', however, is not knowledgeable enough to recognize regional American insults, despite the poster even directing the reader to their source of insults. I guess one passive-aggressive type doesn't recognize another of the same? Oh, and before this all erupted, I tried to point that out to readers, but, "bless their little heart," the 'moderator' was messt. Will somebody please take the time to teach KE the difference between: Your You're Yore Application of rudimentary capitalization and punctuation would be appreciated as well. It would increase the coherence. Considerably.

This was an odd day as it was 72°F (22°C). I’m not sure about what this means today as it’s only January 1st.
I dressed for cold and felt like I was in a sweat box. **panting in background**

I dressed for cold and felt like I was in a sweat box. **panting in background** I remember having weird warm weather streaks in January here that lasted about three weeks. It would be cold in December, then in the seventies in January, but go back to being cold and horrible by February. I'd never experienced this in my life until college, so it must've started in the early nineties. Then it happened every year for at least ten years, I think, then it just stopped doing that and went back to being cold and awful every January. I miss being able to wear shorts in January.

I've had warm streaks in January but I've always put it down to the male menopause Today it's beautifully sunny with virtually no wind.

It’s was 70s yesterday but today it’s cold. I just want snow. I’m ready to go skiing or something but instead we get ice here and not the good snow.

We're evidently in the backwash of the bomb cyclone that is pummeling northern California with wicked rains and winds. Here, it is still dry, but the gusting of winds did really ratchet up. There are no 'steady' winds today and consequently the trees are shedding a fair amount of the fragile limbs. The northbound limb of the storm is expected to blow through tonight, leaving record rainfall along the Oregon coast and westerly valleys. I presume the Tillamook dairy farmers are out helping their herds don their galoshes.

Yikes. I hope you are okay with all that bomb cyclone mess. That kind of think is nothing to play with.
Today was a wonderfully sunny day. Started out in the 30s and made it to the 50’s. Still chilly but at least not miserable.

It really didn't hit us like it did northern California. We had an overnight power loss with a lot of the winds, but we didn't get anywhere near the expected rainfall.
I'm just hoping that the reservoirs throughout California are being replenished...at least a bit.
We're back to our usual...Cool, mostly dry, and overcast. We get the occasional misty rain that keeps everything kinda damp.

I’m hoping for the same thing with their reservoirs. They need a break.

We have freezing rain, which makes dog walking a bit problematic. But I have cleats on my boots so it's not too bad.

Yes. That what we typically get. I figure this next time I’ll leave out of state instead of deal with it if I can.

Yes. That what we typically get. I figure this next time I’ll leave out of state instead of deal with it if I can. Okay, now...This piques my curiosity, but it lacks some clarity. It's a bit garbled and maybe KE wants to edit it a bit before I pose my questions? I'm having problems scanning the final sentence.

I think he means he will go out of state rather than deal with it? Yes...My inclination was to read it as, "I figure this next time, I’ll leave flee out of state, instead of deal with it, if I can." But, I thought I'd check to see if that reading is correct.

😆 Yes. I’ve never been to keen on the weather here. Just like during the worst part of the summer I went to New Mexico mountains to escape the 112 degree heat.
