Hope you will feel better soon, Kye. It's raining here and cool. On Saturday we still had around 30°C. Now it's probably less than 20°C. Have to get some mud pants for Malcolm because we can't keep him inside anymore even when the weather is bad, except for really stormy weather. He loves the sand pit at the playground and will probably be walking soon.

I tend to think of our Labour day as end of summer and beach time, though officially it ends Feb 28 (or 29 in a leap year).

Mud pants? I guess these are protective wear for wallowing in mud.

It's cool here today. We won't get higher that 17 and we're down to single digits at night. Sigh. I hope we get a nice Indian Summer this year.

Well, the sun has yet to come up, but wet cats keep checking in with me, so I'm assuming it is raining out. So....damp. Temp is 13 C and I'm pretty sure we won't reach 20 C today.
I think it is time to make a couple of pies.

Yes, I squealed just a few minutes ago when Paul - my trusty weather man - told me it will be getting to 25 in a week.

I tend to think of our Labour day as end of summer and beach time, though officially it ends Feb 28 (or 29 in a leap year). Who, or what, makes it 'official'? We have no 'official' end of summer, but our Labor Day, usually the first Monday in September, is the unofficial end of summer. Public elementary and secondary schools start new academic years the following day. Summer weather can drag in to October, but the whole 'back to school' thing is a huge buzzkill. Autumn around here is roughly starts in mid-October when the persistent overcast and blustery winds kick in.

I think the idea of seasons has been dumbed down for the benefit of those who don't understand the agricultural climate or astronomical equinoxes.

School Starts in September, Goats? We start two weeks before here.
It’s is 90 degrees today. Sorry. Normally I would translate to Celsius but I’m exhausted from my long trip.

I think the idea of seasons has been dumbed down for the benefit of those who don't understand the agricultural climate or astronomical equinoxes. Waaaay down. I grew up understanding that, for the most part, the solstices and equinoxes were the peaks of their respective seasons, rather than marking the beginnings.

I don't rightly know, but my entire life the weather people tell me that autumn starts 1 March, winter starts 1 June, spring 1 September and summer 1 December. I guess they get that from the Bureau.

Of course, if you go by indigenous seasons, there are five to six seasons.

So, the library is littered with cannabis leaves all over the floor. I've lain down a canvas dropcloth, so it's no big deal.
This is harvest. Specifically, of my second cannabis plant; Thinkleberry White, a gifted plant from my new neighbor. It did quite well. I'd like it to get another week of sunlight, but the weather has turned, for the next week, at least. So, rather than lose much of it to mold and rot, I took it down last night and started the trimming. I've just finished the trimming and will now move it to the basement for overhead drying for two to three weeks.
The four remaining plants are all just starting to bloom, so I'm hoping they'll last well through the week of scattered rains and get a decent window of late summer/early fall sunlight to bulk out with the blooms. The two Thinkleberry strains were early blooms....I like that. Dodging the early rains is a continuing problem with cannabis here in the valley.
It is just pissing down out there. My decision has been reinforced.

😆. I knew it! I’ve heard growing it can be difficult. Instead I invest in stocks for the cannibus retailers and distilleries. It’s very interesting how many varieties there are of these.
Here it grows very well though. I guess our climate is good for it. Of course being 90 to 92 (32c to 33c) degrees today I’m sure it is.

It's 9 C at the moment, but it's supposed to go up to 21 later in the day. We're going to have a mini-heatwave this weekend with temperatures up to 28 on Sunday. I imagine we won't see anything like that again until next June.

Wooooo-HOOOOOOO! Montreal's final 'big wave' of 2019! Suck up those rays, Farther!
Here, we're having pretty typical cooling and partly cloudy days. The next week or so looks as though we'll get spots of light sprinkles of rain, too. Sporadically...dry rain, y'know?

We're having typical Melbourne weirdness. It was 18 degrees overnight and 23 this morning around 8am. Then it got colder as the day progressed. In September!

Wait...It seems a random Puddle City autumn day was misplaced and subsequently found in Melbourne. Just a holiday in Oz, I guess...
So, you don't get winter snow in Melbourne? I don't remember any mention.
