Next day, same place....It is clear, sunny and cold. The only remaining snow are bits in the protected shady areas.
We're to be back up to midday highs of 17-18 C by midweek.

Indolent human.

Cold wind, but sunny and lovely Spring appropriate weather otherwise. We bought our girl a swing, sandbox and slide second hand so she has her own little playground in the backyard.

Temperatures have cooled and mornings have been overcast. Still, afternoon sun and decent temperatures later in the day.
Today, we are to get rain, I hear.

Beautiful sunshine, crowded beaches, one wouldn't believe there was a Covid-19 crisis.

Are there many beaches in Marple? Along the canal perhaps?

Same here. Cause for new lockdown rules today actually. Our PM is making a broadcast to the nation at 8:30pm. We're expecting new lockdown rules.

We're down to essential services only: grocery stores, pharmacies, and of course, liquour stores! All other commerce is supposed to shut down.

It's an active uphill slog against the robust ignorance.

Well, I must go out tomorrow to the market...for my insulin.
I shall go gloved and with my mask in pocket. And see for myself how the grocery is doing.
Weather? Oh, yeah...It's damp. Not really raining, but raining. Moist.

Unless you already know they have your supply, I recommend phoning ahead. I went to collect a prescription from the pharmacy yesterday - that was supposed to be ready on Saturday 21st - and they said there was a huge backlog and I should come back on Wednesday.

No backup. In and had to stand in a short queue, spaced, by the store, in to 'social distance' acceptability. I wore latex gloves.
The store was so sparsely populated that I took a few minutes to grab some food items.
My gardner neighbor lost her marbles when she found out. We are now seeking a means of keeping me out of circulation entirely.
So....When is 'Easter' again?
Oh, and the weather has turned nasty. We are getting frequent squall lines with gullywashers....heavy rainfall with gusting winds.

Today really feels like spring. +12 C (and much warmer in the sun), clear blue sky without clouds and the first blue crocus.

Our girl surprised us at the backdoor wearing her sunhat and trying to get her skipants and shoes on...so I went outside with her to play in the sandbox. And then it started to snow... Very cold today.

Hoary crepe! It's coming down in buckets full.
The cats ask for the door to be opened, then look out and decide against it. And that's with the dry balcony.
I'm betting that a river runs through my basement at the moment.
