Our little Spotty died last night. She was one of the piggies who were born in our sitting room and the tamest and very peaceful, always walking away when another piggie bothered her. She'd been having kidney problems which couldn't be treated because of her age and she had been losing too much weight because of that, even though she was eating. We almost lost her to diarrhea in 2014 and were glad to have her around for years after that, but she had been very quietly and slowly wasting away and like that, she quietly slipped out of this world last night. Frank and I each held her for a while to keep her warm and comfortable because she'd always loved cuddling up on our laps. I'm sad. Spotty had a special place in my heart.

That sounds like a very peaceful way for her to go. My condolences on your loss. ((Claudia))

Poor piggie, but how good that she was loved and cared for like that.

Thanks, everyone. She was definitely loved and had a good life with us. But I miss her a lot. She was a very relaxed piggie. If another piggie was bothering her, she'd walk away and other piggies always liked her.
