She is having surgery tomorrow - well today actually - at about half eight. Cyst on her eye. Am worried. Not about the op but the anaesthetic.

This should be a very uneventful surgery, but I know it's hard not to worry. You don't really have a choice, right?
*hugs Jo and Honey --and Col for good measure*

I know .. it's not the surgery but the anaesthesia. I have a friend who lost a young cat under general anaesthetic.

Many many animals go under anesthesia and come out of it fine, even if there's a bad outcome from time to time.
Remember, no one is sitting in an office somewhere saying "Oops, Jo didn't worry enough --I guess Honey will just have to pay the price".
Anyway --I know your worry is not really rational. Thinking about you and your fur baby. (((Jo)))

She is now back and "happy" doing her best impression of a standard lamp!

I saw a piccy on FB with her cone. They always look so cute and unhappy at the same time.

So everything is back to normal now. What sort of dog is Honey, do you have a picture of her somewhere on this forum?

Honey is a Boxer-Alsation cross, 11 years old next month! Here she is with Tinker and Pippin, hogging the sofa and my big cuddly penguin!

Ah, the dog and the cats are so cute together! I assume the operation went well.

Seems to be good. Going to get the stitches checked on 2nd January when the cone should come off.

How is she accepting the cone?

She's obviously less than happy, but I think she's got used to it and resigned to it being there. Going upstairs is the worst as she digs it into every step instead of simply lifting her head!
