This is what the Chinese Embassy writes:

And this is how it is described in the Chinese Global Times:

I can understand that the hostel did not want any sleeping guests in the lobby. According to the hostel, the Chinese were abusive and threatening when they were asked to leave, therefore the police was called. "The brutal police" were two police women. Of course they had to use some violence when the tourists did not willingly leave the hostel. “This is killing” A family of one drama queen and two drama kings.
Wild animals? *laughs scornfully* They were not left on the graveyard Skogskyrkogården (The Woodland Cemetary) but at the metro station Skogskyrkogården nearby. And which wild animals? No bears, wolves, boars or moose there. Only birds and hares. Maybe they heard an owl? Or a fox? None of them dangerous for human beings. City folks, scared as soon as they see a wood!

There is of course a reason why the Chinese Embassy and governement make such a mountain out of a mole hill. The reason is Gui Minhai, a Swedish citizen of Chinese origin, kept in custody in China due to some trumped-up charge about an traffic accident killing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gui_Minhai
Little Sweden has dared to question big China about Guis fate, Sweden must be punished.
Around midnight on 2 September, three Chinese tourists were brutally abused by the Swedish police. The Chinese Embassy in Sweden is deeply appalled and angered by what happened and strongly condemns the behavior of the Swedish police. The Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China have made solemn representations to the Swedish government respectively in Stockholm and Beijing, stressing that what the police had done severely endangered the life and violated the basic human rights of the Chinese citizens. We urged the Swedish government to conduct thorough and immediate investigation, and respond to the Chinese citizens’ requests for punishment, apology and compensation in time.
And this is how it is described in the Chinese Global Times:
According to one of the victims, surnamed Zeng, he and his parents traveled to Stockholm, Sweden in the early morning of Sept. 2. The room they had booked was not available for check-in until later in the daytime. Considering the health of his parents, Zeng asked the hotel staff if he could pay a fee, so that his parents could rest on some chairs in the lobby.
Zeng said the hotel staff reacted rudely and told them to leave or they would call the police.
According to Zeng, after the police arrived, he showed them his parents' prescription medication and asked if they could stay at the hotel to rest and that he would leave. He said the police ignored his request and forcibly dragged his father out of the hotel and threw him to the ground.
Zeng said that his father, who suffers from cardiovascular disease, almost lost consciousness and started to twitch. The police offered no humanitarian assistance during the emergency, Zeng said.

Later, Zeng and his family were taken away in a police car. While they were in the police car, the police also allegedly beat Zeng's parents.
I don’t think the police would beat tourists and especiallly not an old couple.
Zeng said the police threatened to abandon them in the woods to stay with the animals.
After about an hour of driving, Zeng said the police stopped the car and ejected them from the vehicle at a graveyard in the middle of the night.
Zeng said the temperature was lower than 10 degrees Celsius, so he and his parents huddled together for warmth in the dark as they heard the sounds of animals. Fortunately, someone who was passing by gave them a ride back to Stockholm after they stayed in the graveyard for half an hour.
