So, there is a running controversy over the Full English in another thread, and despite my throwing biscuits and gravy in to the mix they are staying on rail. I just thought we might want to go a bit more 'general' without having to challenge a traditional contender. Here is the latest news from one neighborhood breakfast outlet: the Waffle Window. My personal fave is the Whole Farm. Yum.

It's full English or nothing.

Now, that's definitive.
Full English is fine, but there are other breakfasts out there. Good ones, too.
Like Huevos Rancheros.
Or, stack of pancakes with butter and syrup, lynx on the side.
Or, Eggs Benedict.
I am a really BIG fan of the latter.
So, tangent, suture self. Starve when there are Bennys being served all around you and not a bean to be seen.

A perfect breakfast is accompanied by a nice glass of cold pulpy grapefruit juice.
Hot caffeine beverages are a whim for me. A nice add-on but not a necessity.

A sandwich with peanut butter and a mug of milk. The best breakfast anyone could wish for.

Eggs Benedict is excellent, especially if someone else is making it.
The true breakfast is a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee. If extravagant, follow up with toast and marmalade.

Plain yoghurt with blueberries --washed or unwashed, your choice!

I like a bowl of cereal and a mug of coffee, or a slice of toast with jam and a mug of coffee. Germans like to put cheese and sausage on their bread for breakfast, but when I was a kid, we never did that at home. Cheese and sausage was not breakfast food to my parents. We had bread, toast or breadrolls with various kinds of jam, honey and sometimes Nutella (I don't think peanut butter was generally available back then) or we had cereal. I was very surprised when we went to family retreats and I saw cheese and sausage on the tables in the morning and people were actually eating it. To this day, it is something I just don't do - except for the rare times in hospital if, for some reason, I didn't get to choose.

This is the menu at the place I'm having breakfast tomorrow morning threebagsfullcafe.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/WINTER-MENU-2018.pdfIt is the winter menu though, I'm assuming they haven't updated the website and it will be a spring menu by now. Looks amazingly delicious though! Those fritters, the korean fried chicken and the eggs in hell all sound very tempting! As would the french toast if it wans't rhubarb!

Some interesting foods on that menu, it would keep me going for weeks trying them all out. On the other hand, that's just too much

I had their special of the smoked trout on pea and corn fritters which was delicious! The fritters and the creme fraiche with the chives in it was especially lovely!

Yeah. You are OK with sausages and bacon and fried everything, but not some smoked trout and veggie fritters? There was also a poached egg.

Normally, cereal with milk, up to 4 slices of toast (probably with Marmite or marmalade) and a possible coffee.

Cereal plus 4 slices of toast? That sounds like a lot. I don't like to eat breakfast early, but if I have to, I can't eat that much. At the moment I tend to skip it.

I think of it as my most important meal. It is when my blood sugar is most likely to be at its lowest. A little bit of exertion can make me lightheaded and dizzy.
My typical these days is two eggs over medium, two link sausages and a buttered split and toasted jalapeno-cheese bagel. With grapefruit juice.
As the season cools, I might switch over to hot oatmeal with maple syrup and milk and a glass of grapefruit juice. Hot beverage becomes more likely, too.
