It is usually my fallback dish. When I can't decide on anything else, I order sesame chicken. I also consider it my signature comparative dish between chefs.
Beef and mushrooms is nice....if you're in that kind of mood.

This was part of a set menu deal so I figured I'd give it a shot - normally I stick with sweet n sour, chow mein or maybe lemon chicken. But it was good quality beef and nice mushrooms - that was a lot of my liking for it I guess. Some places the meat is such crap quality you can almost believe the lies about cats.

I finally decided that I don't like Cantonese (Hong Kong) Chinese cooking. It is far too bland for my taste, yet it is the predominate style in the US, because the greater portion of Chinese immigrants to the US came from Guandong region, where Hong Kong is. I like the spicier cuisine of Hunan and Szechuan. What is passed off as 'Mongolian' here in the US is a mite more interesting, as well. When is Xi'an, in Shaanxi, it was the dumplings...a vast array of dumplings...that was the cuisine of interest. I liked that, despite it not liking me.

Momos! I had a lot of momos (stuffed dumplings) when I was in northern India. I even learned how to make them. Not that I've retained that knowledge...
