They were probably flooded from rainfall not from rising sea levels ...

So...I just found out my home's elevation. It is listed as 161 feet above sea level. Goes to check what the estimated rise in sea level is over time....and the Smithsonian site, with appropriate tap dancing, posits that with a rapid melt in the short term the sea level rise will be between 2 and 6 feet. So, my place will be fine for that duration. I certainly don't expect to make it to 2100.

Very interesting. The Caribbean had more land. Too bad mars wasn’t a little closer to the sun and bigger. We could give it some water. 😂
That would probably create a new set of problems!
