Indeed.
And we need to stop calling him Boris, sounds too chummy. What about "Johnson"? That means dick in American slang doesn't it?

How about Bojo Jojo? Did anyone watch the Powerpuff Girls (for example if you had a young child 10-20 years ago)?

I read that the difference between Boris Johnson and Theresa May (nobody calls her just Theresa) is that May wanted a Brexit with least possible damage for UK, but Johnson wants a Brexit at the latest 31 Oct, no matter what.

"Least possible damage" doesn't sound like a forward move... Says everything, doesn't it?

"Least possible damage" doesn't sound like a forward move... Says everything, doesn't it? What do you mean? That it is possible with a Brexit with no negative consequences at all for UK? That a Brexit without a deal is a good thing?

That a Brexit without a deal is a good thing? I'm guessing he means that all possible Brexits will cause some damage to the UK - the government may not want to admit this but the phrase "least possible damage" kind of does admit it.

Frank and I haven't talked about Boris Johnson at all. Fra k has his German citizenship and so he won't be quite as affected by whatever happens

May did not want Brexit at all. 5/6 of our MPs voted for Remain, I believe.

That's cool about the citizenship Are you going to get Malcolm dual? He is, so far, but will probably have to decide for one once he is 18. I have to admit that I really like Great Britain and the British people. Years ago, if it had been possible, I would probably have taken the British citizenship just so we as a family have one in common (I don't care much about my German citizenship, but would not have wanted Frank to ever have to give up his British citizenship). But then the Brexit madness began and thanks to Frank's mother who took care of a few things when Frank was still a child, Frank has the German citizenship which is probably best right now. No matter what happpens with Brexit, we as a family can stay together. At the moment, Frank still has the British one as well. I do worry about my parents in law, though. My father in law still has the New Zealand citizenship, my mother in law is German. No idea what will happen to her in case of a no-deal Brexit and Johnson basically saying "F***you, EU". Even my mother in law is a bit concerned by now. And it might sound bad for me to say that but I am seriously beginning to wonder if Johnson is actually just trying to destroy his own country, just because it's fun, like Malcolm would knock over a tower built from his wooden blocks. Can he seriously think he is actually making the situation better for the British people? Or am I just too stupid and missing some way in which his no-deal-Brexit makes sense and will be really good for the British people?

Can he seriously think he is actually making the situation better for the British people? Or am I just too stupid and missing some way in which his no-deal-Brexit makes sense and will be really good for the British people? You are not being stupid, the rest of the world thinks a no deal Brexit would be economic suicide. But there is a hard-line group of 21 MPs (members of the ERG) who really do think a hard Brexit would be good for the UK, probably in the sense of an independent superpower like we were in the 1950s, with a functioning House of Lords comprised of members of the ruling class. Johnson is more savvy than that. He has a distinct career ambition* to become prime minister (unfettered by Europe) and he is taking the only course of action that will achieve that. (He has pointed out that if we don't leave Europe on 31 October, the Conservative party will be destroyed. Therefore, Britain must leave Europe on 31 October.) Whatever happens to Britain in the meantime is largely irrelevant. Sadly, the rank and file members of his party think he's great and are supporting him. Polls have shown a big leap in support for the Conservative party in the past few days (they now have a 12% lead over Labour). * Political commentator, Laura Kuenssberg, said as much on BBC TV when he chose to support the Leave campaign before the Referendum

Bozo has lost his commons majority of 1, as a Tory MP has defected to the Lib Dems. Several more have announced they will not stand at "the next election" (which could be 14 October), basically saying they don't care about being "deselected" which is the bullying threat if they don't support the forthcoming vote who terms I have mercifully forgotten.

A unanimous Supreme Court. 11-0.
LOL.
I didn't know that could even happen.
The Supreme Court says the prorogation never happened. Parliament was always in session.
Can you folks tell the difference?
