Here is our official welcome back Father G party! Do all come.
*sets out scotch eggs, Scotch, oatcakes, scotch drops, porridge, Scottish salmon, Aberdeen Angus beef and lots and lots of beer*
Yeah I know Father G is not Scottish. I just felt like a Scottish theme.

Battered Loch Ness monster steaks. A rare and somewhat unusual dish.

Umm...I was under the impression it was oatmeal for breakfast, cold mutton for lunch, and warm mutton for dinner, all leavened with a healthy dose of Calvinism.
Am I misinformed?

Mutton good....

Mutton? I had a lamb tikka madras on Monday which I reckon was mutton and had the consistency of leather Perhaps I should have gone for a Chicken tikka masala.

I read an article the other day about how a sample of lamb curry from a London restaurant was analysed and was found not only to contain no lamb whatsoever but, more worryingly, the type of meat used was not identifiable.

Oh those! I had those. But I can't remember where. Did I have them at your place, Tangent? Though you probably wouldn't remember.

all leavened with a healthy dose of Calvinism. Healthy? Calvinism? What can you be thinking of! Will Archbishop Laud do? He probably did more to advance Calvinism amongst the Scots than did John Knox. Note here that I used the description 'healthy dose' to connote a sizeable admixture, rather than any indication of benefits to one's wellbeing. A 'shipload' of Calvinism, if you will; a lot.
