They changed the Ice Warriors a bit. I was put in mind of Curse of Peladon where the IW's were on the good side for once

In the latest episode, did anyone get a xenoerotic vibe from the way the ice warrior's clawed hands caressed the heads of first Onegin (or whatever his name was) and then the professor? Especially considering, as I only just have, that the ice warrior had just effectively taken all his clothes off. No.

Nor I! A better episode again this week, although I was surprised of the use of the use of the word "Bloody" used in the way it was in a family show.

I thought yesterday's episode was better plot-wise, but I sat down for a horror episode like Blink and I got a love story on all sides. That was a bit... odd. Still, perhaps we're now going to get into the flow of things. It's not going to be my favourite ep though.

Strax should be back in a couple of episodes, looking forward to that.

I wasn't paying 100% attention yesterday, but I thought it was a bit disjointed and I found myself a bit puzzled at what was going on at a few points.

I really enjoyed yesterday's episode. I thought the plot developed well and it had a firm ending.

To be perverse I liked it less than any so far. I thought it was a bit obscure in places.

Me neither. It's just wrong, not exciting and weird. Also... what's up with Clara's dress? >_<

Some people thought it the best yet but on the whole from what I have read it got the thumbs down. Also I don't think they are making the most of Clara's character. It isn't her fault but she looks spare for much of the time.

I still wonder how being incinerated by an engine-sun turns you into a zombie.

OK, just watched "Journey to the centre of the TARDIS". Clara was OK in this, Bill. I just think she was on her own most of the time so didn't get to talk much ... except to herself ... and the tardis ... (Her dress was a bit odd Marit - not quite like her regular style but who am I to judge.) I think the sun-engine didn't so much "incinerate" as, in the Doctor's words "liquefy all the cells in your body" ... but how THAT becomes zombie, rather than a puddle of liquid mess, is indeed unclear. The way they were introduced was really good though. For a while I was thinking ubervamps (from Buffy). Loved the library and the machine-growing egg tree. The theme of a time rift and all the echoes was quite a good one, but the "just press reset" resolution was a bit of a copout. Good review here Journey to the Centre of the Tardis review - Doctor Who goes a bit Blake's 7 | Radio Times, although I don't agree with it all

There is nothing wrong with Clara. They are just not giving her enough to do.

I find Clara really boring so far. She does "perky" and "perky". And I keep expecting her bulgy eyes to fall out and roll onto the floor...
