Couldn't they have used good old British cockroaches?

When you said that giant cockroaches were terrorising Wales, I thought at first you were referring to the celebrities, and I felt that was a bit harsh

Apparently they've released non native spiders too. What's with that? What's wrong with British spiders?

I read somewhere the cockroaches were grown in Britain for pet food (snakes and lizards I suppose). They probably got all these bugs from British suppliers - and the real question is why can't British pet food suppliers breed British creepy-crawlies?

Not if it contains traces of pesticide. Cats do eat roaches sometimes but the exoskeleton can damage their teeth and digestive tract.

I#ve only seen a cockroach once. They are truly indestructible.

I don't know about that. The Internet seems to think the main danger from cats eating mice are the diseases they carry.

I've never known mine to eat a mouse though Merry caught one or two as an outdoor cat. He preferred just to torment them though - he has more tasty things to eat.
