My church has printed 3500 Christmas cards containing a Christmas message and advertising services over Christmas and our administrator has asked us to deliver them. We are supposed to collect them for delivery from the church porch. Some bundles were collected a couple of days after they were available, nearly two weeks ago, but many are still left waiting for volunteers to pick them. Our administrator, as usual, says they are to be delivered 'as soon as possible'. But what does 'as soon as possible' mean?

Firstly, I object that it says "Invalid request token / possible request forgery (error 4). If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again." Secondly, once I've fixed that, I object that I can't make more than one vote.
"As soon as possible" means the requester doesn't want to state a target as they know people have different constraints. That's the logical understanding. In reality there usually is a deadline, or at least something to be done, like making other arrangements, if the target can't be met ... but if the target is unstated this borders on passive-aggression.
What's not acceptable, on the part of the volunteers, is to forget about it. Or be too busy and not say anything.

There, that should sit on enough fences to cover every likely situation.

Firstly, I object that it says "Invalid request token / possible request forgery (error 4). If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again." I'm bewildered by this error message. How did you get it and how did you fix it? Secondly, once I've fixed that, I object that I can't make more than one vote. It would appear that once a poll is created, it cannot be modified even to correct spelling mistakes. But it will let me delete the poll and insert a new one, which I have done. You may now select more than one answer. Unfortunately, I couldn't preserve your vote, Joe.

Ah, I wondered why my vote had disappeared. I have revoted.
I get that error at least once most days when trying to post. Only on EF, but on both my personal laptop and my work laptop. It's fixed/overcome by refreshing the page - sometimes a few times.

Curious, I've never had that message.

It won't let me vote but I'd say the second option. As long as it's not, you know, February.

Where does it say 'View Voters'? Is that perhaps only available to the thread starter? Or admins?

Yes, I thought that might be the case as soon as I posted my message

The church that I led until retirement was in the happy position of having a retired postman who missed his job. Instead of asking for volunteers the leadership just gave to six thousand copies to him and he went on his way rejoicing - with deliveries completed within a few days later. A word from the leadership encouraged those who could afford it to cover the cost of his very modest fee.

Plus he is a really nice person! I rather miss the fun of working with them all - except the ones who thought it was OK to try and bully their priest ... guess how far they got ...

We often have retired priests standing in for the vicar at services, weddings and funerals.
